WCW WrestleWar 1991: WarGames took place on February 24, 1991 from the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, Arizona. This was the first PPV after WCW left the NWA. The main event was The Four Horsemen and Larry Zbyszko against Sting, Brian Pillman, and The Steiner Brothers in a WarGames match. Also on the card was The Freebirds challenging Doom for the WCW World Tag Team Championship, Dan Spivey challenging Lex Luger for the WCW US Heavyweight Championship, Stan Hansen vs Big Van Vader, Dustin Rhodes vs Buddy Landel, and five other matches.

WCW/New Japan Supershow I (known as Starrcade 1991 in Tokyo Dome in Japan) took place on March 21, 1991 from the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. It aired in North America in April 1991. The main event was Ric Flair defending the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Tatsumi Fujinami. Other matches included The Great Muta vs Sting, El Gigante vs Big Cat Hughes, Hiroshi Hase & Kensuke Sasaki defending against The Steiner Brothers for the IWGP Tag Team Championship, Arn Anderson & Barry Windham vs Masa Saito & Masahiro Chono, Jushin Liger defending the IWGP Junior Heavyweight CHampionship against Akira Nogami, and several dark matches.

SuperBrawl 1991 took place on May 19, 1991 from the Bayfront Arena in St. Petersburg, Florida. The main event was WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair in a double title defense against NWA World Heavyweight Champion Tatsumi Fujinami. Arn Anderson also defended the WCW World Television Championship against Bobby Eaton while the Steiner Brothers defended the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Sting & Lex Luger. No Mercy was a pay-per-view produced by the World Wrestling Federation exclusively for the United Kingdom. It took place on May 16, 1999 at the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. The main event match was Anything Goes Triangle match for the WWF Championship. Defending champion Steve Austin defended against The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) and Triple H (with Chyna), with interference from the Corporate Ministry, The Brood, Kane, X-Pac and Mankind. Shane McMahon defended the European Championship against X-Pac while the event opened up with a 6-Man Tag Between The Ministry of Darkness (Viscera, Faarooq, and Bradshaw) versus The Brood (Edge, Christian, and Gangrel).

No Way Out (2000) was a PPV which took place on February 27, 2000 at the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Connecticut. It was presented by PhoneFree.com. It was the first event produced under the No Way Out name, although it was preceded in 1998 by an event named No Way Out of Texas . The main event was a Hell in a Cell match, a match where the ring and ringside area was surrounded by a 20-foot-high roofed steel cell between WWF Champion Triple H and Cactus Jack. The featured bout on the undercard was a singles match for a championship match at WrestleMania 2000 in which The Big Show competed against The Rock. Chris Jericho defended the Intercontinental Championship against Kurt Angle and The New Age Outlaws defended the Tag Team Championships against The Dudley Boyz.

Buffalo Stampede was a wrestling event promoted by Ring of Honor. It took place on October 15, 2005 at the North Amherst Recreation Center in Buffalo, New York. The main event featured Bryan Danielson defending his ROH World Championship against Steve Corino.

This Means War was a wrestling event promoted by Ring of Honor. It took place on October 29, 2005 at the CT Sports Center in Woodbridge, Connecticut. The main event featured Bryan Danielson defending his ROH World Championship against Roderick Strong.

Showdown in Motown was a wrestling event promoted by Ring of Honor. It took place on November 4, 2005 at the Michigan State Fairgrounds & Expo Center in Detroit, Michigan. ROH’s debut in Detroit, the main event saw Bryan Danielson being challenged for the ROH World Championship by TNA wrestler and Detroit's native Chris Sabin.

Vendetta was a wrestling event promoted by Ring of Honor. It took place on November 5, 2005 at the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge, Illinois. The main event featured The Embassy (Jimmy Rave, Alex Shelley, Abyss & Prince Nana) battling AJ Styles & Generation Next (Austin Aries, Jack Evans & Matt Sydal).

Hell Freezes Over was a wrestling event held by Ring of Honor. It took place on January 14, 2006 at the Pennsylvania National Guard Armory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The show’s name comes from the main event, as ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson takes on Combat Zone Wrestling’s Chris Hero. The match came about after Danielson and Hero made several comments about each other on the internet. Danielson then sent an open contract for a shot at the ROH World Championship to CZW, who then signed Hero. Earlier in the day, CZW held An Afternoon of Main Events at the New Alhambra Arena in Philadelphia. During the show, Bryan Danielson, ROH Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness, and ROH Tag Team Champions Austin Aries and Roderick Strong jumped the guard rail, starting a fight with several CZW wrestlers. The show would be the start of the Ring of Honor vs. Combat Zone Wrestling feud, which would last for seven months.

Tag Wars 2006 was a wrestling event held by Ring of Honor. It took place on January 27, 2006 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum in Dayton, Ohio. The show featured the Trios Tournament 2006, with the three wrestlers from the winning team getting to choose any match they want.
