On August 12, 1961, eight people in three cars set off for Berlin from Leipzig. They want to go to the West. The initiator is the philistine Spiessack, who drives the others, who have embarked on the adventure with mixed feelings. It becomes a journey with numerous incidents and panic, which causes the different characters to clash. When they finally arrive in Berlin the next day, they are not allowed to cross the border. The only option is to return. At home, Spiessack is met by a policeman in his living room - with the slogan "We'll be back" written on the wall.

Mihajlo, an introvert piano teacher starts romance with a pretty careerist who teaches modeling at the university in Belgrade where they both work. His feelings are awakened after a long period, but this relationship makes him see the flashbacks, as well as yet unseen images that remind him of his troubled childhood - as if he experienced this already. When their university wins a contest to hold public TV performance, Mihailo fails to play the piano on the decisive night and she dumps him. The boiling point is about to come.

Esko is a famous writer in his eighties who has had a close circle of friends since his youth. Only Heikki is left of the group and after the traditional pre-Christmas party, Esko unexpectedly decides to write his next book about the events of the summer of '74, which were to remain a secret until his death. In that summer of the 70s, Esko, in his early twenties, set off with three friends to search for the inheritance left by his grandfather, not knowing what they would find. At the destination, in the middle of the wilderness, the boys unexpectedly meet another group of hikers. There's admiration and a little jealousy in the air. A relaxed trip and summer fun takes a new turn when the inheritance is discovered, secrets are uncovered and, finally, greed inadvertently involves the friends in an event that will change the rest of their lives.

January 1978. After their success in England, the punk rock band Sex Pistols venture out on their tour of the southern United States. Temperamental bassist Sid Vicious is forced by his band mates to travel without his troubled girlfriend, Nancy Spungen, who will meet him in New York. When the band breaks up and Sid begins his solo career in a hostile city, the turbulent couple definitely falls into the depths of drug addiction.
