Part of Chris Marker’s Bestiaire (Petit Bestiaire) collection, An Owl Is an Owl Is an Owl is a short video meditation on the gaze and movement of owls—sometimes still, sometimes in flight—observed with the quiet, rhythmic attention typical of Marker’s later video work.

A self-reflexive, multi-portrait film following the filmmaker, Emma Barda, and other queer artists exploring queerness and gender identity through their art. The film takes a deep dive on how queer / gender non-conforming people interpret and represent body and gender identity through various facets of art and identity, with the aim to showcase the unique and wonderful world of queerness.

Latest installment from the on-going collaboration between filmmaker Paul Clipson & musician Jefre Cantu-Ledesma. Paul's Super8 films, shot entirely in New York City, channel the blissed out states of color drenched psychadellia explored by Brakage as well as lovely black and white still life's that reminisce on Ozu's 'pillow shots' & Chantel Akermans monumental portrait of Pre-Giuliani New York 'Letters Home'. Jefre's music is culled from the same sessions that launched his 2007 release on Students Of Decay 'Shinning Skull Breath', (the two share a track in common). Billowy clouds of distorted guitar expand out into long passages of muffled static and fuzzed out melody.

Paula Peters, the trainer, shows a series of tricks executed by her marvelously well trained troop of horses and dogs, assisted by two or three clever monkeys. The horse, a snow white animal, performs most entertainingly, and a graceful wolfhound does some marvelous jumping stunts, while her little poodle dogs and her monkeys also present an entertainment which the children will go wild over.
