Akkaldhamayile Pennu is a Malayalam movie directed by Jairam Kailas released on 20 November 2015. The film is based on a story of a woman gravedigger. The film was produced by Kasim Arikkulam and Ashik Doha under the banner of Pearl Media and Movie Productions. Swetha Menon, Malavika Nair, Vineeth, and Sudheer Karamana had the leading roles.

The stories have been tweaked to fit in a modern setting and the script has been conceived by the director himself.

A policeman follows a person deep into the forest and nabs the person. The person arrested happens to be a woman. He tries to come out of the forest with the arrested person, but he loses his way in the wild. The woman knows the path to get out of the forest but she is not willing to show him the way. Thus, both the hunter and the hunted are stranded in the thick forest. Power, Crime, Man, Woman, the Hunter, the Hunted... all such equations change utterly and are no more what they used to be. The film has been very un-expected resemblance with Maoist hunt and killing happened last month in Kerala.

Lal appears as the gynaecologist while Rima Kallingal, Sanusha, Geetha, Asha Sharreth, and Sandra Thomas play the roles of five pregnant women. Sandra Thomas also produced the film along with her father Thomas Joseph Pattathanam under the banner of Friday Cinema House. Vishnu Narayan was the cinematographer and the music was composed by Vishnu- Sharath. The film started production in May 2013 from Kochi, Kerala and released on 27 September 2013.
