The Love of My Life

A comedy about life during the 1970's. A father refuses to accept his son marrying a girl from a different religion, thus leading to several comical situations.

Khairiya is a wealthy girl engaged to her cousin Amin Al-Thara as well. Her family loses this wealth and the girl loses her fiancé, who refused to be paired with a bankrupt girl. She is shocked by charity when she finds her fiancé with another girl and another rich daughter. The family lives the life of the strugglers and the girl recognizes Fayez and is connected with him emotionally, which makes the whole family object to him to put his origin, despite his success in achieving wealth, but marry him because of the patience and ambition and already above the star of her husband and enriched return rich as she was, but her family still intervenes between them and do not agree On this marriage of the social difference between them, a sermon is being made on your brother of a charity of the sister of Fayez's sister.

Therese Roger, daughter of a West Indian planter, whose parents are murdered while she is a baby, becomes the adopted daughter of her aunt, Madame Roger, keeper of a haberdashery shop in one of the smaller villages in southern France. She grows up with Camille, Madame Roger's son, a sickly, sexless creature, whom she ultimately marries in deference to her aunt's wishes.

The story of three women, of very different epochs, whose lives are strangely parallel. The first story, during colonial times, has a man brutalizing both his wife and a female black servant. Parallel with this story is that of a modern couple who perpetuate the stereotyped role of the woman as subservient.

Old houses in Zagreb are destroyed in order to build new, bigger blocks. A teacher who lives in one of these houses allows a stranger to share his home with him. The stranger has a fascination with statistics, and claims he can predict crimes based on statistical analyses. When a predicted murder did not occur, the stranger is adamant that the whole town will suffer unless a balance is achieved - and he leaves.

Last Call is a fictional account of the final days of exuberant and notorious Welsh poet Dylan Thomas as he sets out on a final poetry tour of New York. Desperate for money and with a wife and three children dependent on him, Thomas accepts a job believing it is beneath him. He spends his time in the city drinking at the White Horse Tavern and becoming increasingly ill between poetry readings. Everything comes to a head when he goes on a bender so extreme he cannot perform the last lecture, makes a scene at the bar, and has his final drink while ruminating on life, death, and the concept of love.
