Waltraud was the name of an angel who had fallen from the sky. Her wings were too small and she just couldn't see how this had happened.

The boy has longed to visit the northern country and experience the beautiful mysteries of nature that his childhood friend Norman the Snowman has told him about. On the first day of snow in the northern country, the boy sneaks out of his house and boards a northbound train with Norman to see the mysteries of nature with his own eyes.

It can sometimes seem as though all sorts of machines will be able to solve all problems. But this notion is wrong. Once a polar explorer once again began his research. He never imagined that the elements of nature could be so powerful that no machine would be able to stop them.

We follow an 8 years old child's daily life. From their eyes, we see their dad’s alcoholism. They are full of life, joyful and sometimes full of melancholy. The protagonist only lives their normal life. They like riding bikes, reading comic books while dreaming of a fantasy world. They love their dad, he’s often off, but he’s full of tenderness. When they get stung by a wasp, he takes care of their booboos. Papa Bouteille is a poetic film. It takes the spectator along in the character's own intimacy.

Based on an original character created by Danzig lead singer Glenn Danzig for his comic company Verotik Press. This three-minute pilot was created by Madhouse for a planned Satanika OVA series. As Verotik Press encountered financial difficulties and closed, a full-length anime was never produced.
