My Mother Is Crazy

After a failed suicide attempt, a man receives a substantial inheritance from a long lost relative and meets a struggling single mom with an eccentric young daughter. Together they embark on a journey of self discovery and healing.

An octogenarian rogue named Arthur enlists his grandson Kevin to help him escape a nursing home. What ensues, as Kevin chauffeurs him from Arizona to Canada, goes way off the map. The two pick up a mysterious and dangerous woman and as the miles tick by, love begins to bloom, bullets fly, and Arthur tries to convince his grandson to carry on the family whiskey business. As they approach their destination, Arthur reveals he has secrets and sins to atone for on this madcap journey to redemption.

Married small-time crooks Lou-Jean and Clovis Poplin lose their baby to the state of Texas and resolve to do whatever it takes to get him back. Lou-Jean gets Clovis out of jail, and the two steal their son from his foster home, in addition to taking a highway patrolman hostage. As a massive dragnet starts to pursue them across Texas, the couple become unlikely folk heroes and even start to bond with the captive policeman.
