Son of Adam

This film follows the odyssey of a group of Iranian immigrants in Los Angeles, trying to find their place in America amidst the unfolding of the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.

His rough tactics in his native Auckland get Maori detective Tito Ihaka sent to Sydney while the scandal blows over. There he's teamed with urbane police media officer Kirsty Finn to review the unsolved murder of a supermodel. Their investigation lands them in political hot water, and when Ihaka's inquiries lead to a murder and further complaints, he thinks he's solved the case. But all he's done is create a ruthless and powerful enemy.

A girl, Carola, whose vacation in Kenya takes an interesting turn when she becomes infatuated with a Masai. Carola decides to leave her boyfriend to stay with her lover. There, she has to adapt to the Masai's way of life and get used to their food which includes milk mixed with blood. She also has to face her husband's attitude towards women and what he expects from a wife. Nonetheless, Carola is welcomed warmly into the tribe she has chosen to join.

When German police viciously quell a protest against the shah of Iran, popular journalist Ulrike Meinhof rebels against her dishonest marriage, walks away from her children and joins radical anarchist Andreas Baader. Karen also learns that her parents are not her biological parents and that she was adopted. Karen now wants to learn about herself. She lies to her parents and tells them that she is leaving on the school trip. Instead, she travels to Fukuoka where she was born. Her classmate Satoi Hogari accompanies her.
