A pencil tool escapes from the Macintosh interface when no one can see it, as it wants to take a closer look to a wooden pencil on a desk. Afterwards, it attempts to get back onto the screen but the computer has been turned off by an unseen human presence. The pencil tool finally manages to turn on the computer but when it tries to return to the software programme is no longer possible and ends up smacking onto the screen. After the credits, you can hear a sound of the screen shattering.

Amidst the chilly white winter, bright-eyed Alma, wanders through Barcelona’s cobblestone streets. Suddenly, she spots an unassuming toy shop. Her gaze is drawn to a nearly identical figure staring back at her from the storefront window. As if by magic, the shop’s door swings open. But to her bewilderment, her elusive twin is nowhere to be found.
Utilizing super 8mm and an economical shooting method of quick, short shots building idiosyncratic rhythms via rapid editing techniques, time, nature, and even the body folds in on itself. Everybody Dies (2020) is a poetic journey into the desert. It’s a reflection on the nature of death as something not to be feared, but embraced as a part of a personal and universal human experience.
