A middling rock band nearing the end of its brief prime refuses to play a show because no one appreciates their new music. Their manager must convince them to play for the awaiting crowd.

The 1998 version of Carmen is an opera performance directed by Herbert von Karajan, which was produced in Switzerland. The performance is based on the famous opera by Georges Bizet and was realized by the production company Cosmotel in Switzerland. The actress playing the title role, Carmen, is Mirella Freni, and the production was carried out by the renowned production company Cosmotel.

Based on a theater musical, this movie is set in the city of Lima, Peru during the end of the 80's. The plot is about a group of youngsters from Lima who are participating in a contest for the best new Peruvian rock band. All these while they have to deal with the worst economic situation in Peru, corrupt leaders and terrorism that is rampant throughout the country.
