Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Robert Remus

Biography

Robert Rudolph Remus, best known by his ring name Sgt. Slaughter, is a retired American professional wrestler who is currently signed to WWE in the ambassador program. From the late 1970s to the early 1980s, Slaughter had success in the National Wrestling Alliance, American Wrestling Association, and the World Wrestling Federation. He won the WWF Championship and headlined WrestleMania VII in 1991. Slaughter also captured the NWA United States Heavyweight Championship twice. He is a WWE Hall of Famer, inducted as part of the class of 2004. As Sgt. Slaughter, Remus became known for his dark sunglasses, his campaign hat, and his Vietnam War-era military fatigues. In the 1980s, an alternate version of the Sgt. Slaughter character was incorporated into the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy line as well as its animated series and comic books. The gimmick of Sgt. Slaughter is that of a former U.S. Marine who fought in the Vietnam War. Remus himself never served in the military. This has caused controversy because, at times, Remus has talked about military service while seeming to be speaking as himself, and not in character.

Philip Seymour Hoffman (July 23, 1967 – February 2, 2014) was an American actor, director, and producer. Best known for his distinctive supporting and character roles–typically lowlifes, eccentrics, bullies, and misfits—Hoffman acted in many films, including leading roles, from the early 1990s until his death in 2014. Drawn to theater as a teenager, Hoffman studied acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He began his screen career in a 1991 episode of Law & Order and started to appear in films in 1992. He gained recognition for his supporting work, notably in Scent of a Woman (1992), Boogie Nights (1997), Happiness (1998), Patch Adams (1998), The Big Lebowski (1998), Magnolia (1999), The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), Almost Famous (2000), Punch-Drunk Love (2002), and Along Came Polly (2004). He began to occasionally play leading roles, and for his portrayal of the author Truman Capote in Capote (2005), won multiple accolades, including the Academy Award for Best Actor. Hoffman's profile continued to grow and he received three more Oscar nominations for his supporting work as a brutally frank CIA officer in Charlie Wilson's War (2007), a priest accused of pedophilia in Doubt (2008), and the charismatic leader of a Scientology-type movement in The Master (2012). George Alexander Trebek OC (July 22, 1940 – November 8, 2020) was a Canadian-American television personality, game show host and actor. He was the host of the syndicated game show Jeopardy! after its revival in 1984, and also hosted a number of other game shows, including The Wizard of Odds, Double Dare, High Rollers, Battlestars, Classic Concentration, and To Tell the Truth. Trebek also made appearances in numerous television series, in which he usually played himself. A native of Canada, Trebek became a naturalized United States citizen in 1998. He received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host seven times for his work on Jeopardy!. On November 8, 2020, Trebek died at age 80 after a nearly two-year battle with pancreatic cancer; he had been contracted to host Jeopardy! until 2022.

She was born Blanche Bilhaud in Paris as the daughter of a physician, and died in Manosque, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence of natural causes. She was the goddaughter of writer Georges Duhamel, and studied acting at Conservatoire de Paris. Brunoy is possibly best-remembered for her roles in such films as Jean Renoir's La Bête Humaine (1938), and Marcel Carnés La Marie du port (1950). She was married twice to both actors Robert Hommet (?—1958) and Maurice Maillot (1961—1968) until their death. Jason Tobias is an actor known for the award winning Star Wars: Generations (2016). Having written, produced, and starred in the production, it won at Star Wars Celebration (2016), in London, U.K. Tobias has been building recognition with performances in indie films such as; 'Terrordactyl' (2016), 'Most Likely to Die' (2015), 'The Unraveling' (2015), 'Imbroglio' (2016), and 'ICARUS' (2016). Jason's list of television credits has been expanding, as he has been seen on; 'Justified' (2014), 'Franklin & Bash' (2014), 'The Fosters' (2015), 'Rush Hour' (2015), 'Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn' (2016), 'Notorious' (2016), and the daytime drama 'Days of Our Lives' (2015-2016). Tobias was born into a creatively oriented family. His Dad is a singer/entertainer and his Mom is an artist. Born in Texas, Jason grew up in the Bay Area, and Ohio, where he excelled at all things creative and sports related. In fact, athletics was always a strong suit for Tobias, as he was scouted and played on several traveling teams. At one point, he even tried out for the Kansas City Royals and the Cincinnati Reds, but ultimately ended up following his other burning passion, theatre, art, film, and television. Richard Thomas Griffiths (31 July 1947 – 28 March 2013) was an English actor of film, television, and stage. For his performance in the stage play The History Boys, Griffiths won a Tony Award, a Laurence Olivier Award, the Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Award. For the 2006 film adaptation, Griffiths was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He played Vernon Dursley in the Harry Potter films (2001-2010) and Great Uncle Matthew Brown "Gum" in the BBC film Ballet Shoes (2007). He also portrayed Uncle Monty in Withnail and I (1987), and Henry Crabbe in Pie in the Sky (1994–1997). Earlier in his career, he had supporting roles in such critically acclaimed films as Chariots of Fire (1981), The French Lieutenant's Woman (1981), Gandhi (1982), and The Naked Gun 2+1⁄2: The Smell of Fear (1991). Ulf (Jean Loup) Pilblad was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and is a film producer, actor and script writer. In his childhood, he began early in theatre schools in Stockholm where he studied 8 years with different teachers. He also worked as an assistant to the operetta-singer and dancer, Hasse Funck, who had started an activity called Minifunckarna in 1965, where he educated children in acting! In Bangkok since 1996, he has started his own company, a Destination Management Company, PCE Travel Consultants, and worked as Production and Location Manager for several Scandinavian TV productions. He has also participated in several acting workshops with Maurizio Mistretta, Fulvio Ianneo and John Marengo and participated in several performances with ALL SOUL Production Company in Thailand and Italy! One of the plays - True Story - is based on his personal experiences during the Tsunami 2004 which was played for the first time in the Art and Culture Festival "Dramophone" in Bologna (Italy) in June / July 2012. Ulf has participated in the film The Impossible (2012) directed by Juan Antonio Bayona. In February 2013 he has participated in Bababoboa project Festival "Paura-fear-klua" at the TADU Art and Exhibition Center in Bangkok! In 2013 Ulf produced the film "Fufu - 99 Minutes of Life" in Thailand. He also played one of the main characters in the film: Roland. In 2014 he produced the film "Fatima's Secret" in Thailand. He also played one of the main characters in the film: Gogo. Ulf is also owner, together Maurizio Mistretta and Patchanee Poonthong, and producer of the All Soul Production Co., Ltd. (Thailand), All Soul Production (France). He is also owner and President of the travel agencies AFS Chic Paris (France) and PCE Travel Consultants (Thailand).
