In the summer of 2016, as Euro 2016 unleashed international football fever, an even more extraordinary tournament took place: the 'rebel' World Cup. This film documents this surreal and vibrant spectacle through the most fascinating team of the lot: Kurdistan.

"Haturnir" is a documentary film, following Liam Ronen "The CEO" - a high school student who arranged the soccer tournament that eventually succeeded in becoming an outrageous empire. The film captures the fights, conflicts, COVID-19 influences, and competitions in this event.

Stéphane Meunier spent the whole time filming the players, the coach and some other important characters of this victory, giving us a very intimate and nice view of them, as if we were with them.
