Edgar's Sunday adventures end with him at peace with the world, after two helpings of pie.

Jessie, a young woman at the Bar Z Ranch, who is engaged to Jack Howard. On the day of the cowboys' "hoedown," Jack presents her with an engagement ring and they plan to marry after the roundup. A misunderstanding arises when Jack dances with one of Jessie's friends, causing her to doubt his fidelity. Meanwhile, other ranch hands, inspired by the leap year, also seek to marry, leading to a chaotic series of races and a busy Justice of the Peace.

Oswald is with his mates in a fox hunt, but he finds his horse is stubborn and won't let him ride at first. Meanwhile, the sly fox outwits the dogs and riders in pursuit at every turn.

Max Fleischer draws the upper and lower halves of the Clown's body, which dance around separately before coming together. Max interacts with his creation before ultimately washing the Clown off the page with water.

The Easterner befriends a young woman whose father is being held captive by Tompkins, and he decides to help her.

Max suffers from drunkenness, but gets serious after he falls for the daughter of a circus director - who forbids her romance with an outsider.
