Owen Teale

Biography

Owen Teale (born 20 May 1961) is a Welsh actor. Trained at the Guildford School of Acting, Teale made his television debut in The Mimosa Boys in 1984. He later appeared in Knights of God (1989), Great Expectations (1989), Waterfront Beat (1990) and Boon (1990) before being cast as Will Scarlet in the 1991 TV movie Robin Hood. He went on to appear in such series as Dangerfield, Ballykissangel and the long-running Belonging, and later Spooks and Murphy's Law. In 2005, he played a lead role in Marian, Again—opposite Stephen Tompkinson, Samantha Beckinsale and Kelly Harrison—in which he was the abusive husband of Harrison's eponymous character. His film debut was in War Requiem in 1989. He later appeared as Lophakin in the 1999 adaptation of The Cherry Orchard, opposite Charlotte Rampling as Ranevskaya and Alan Bates as Gayev. His appearance in King Arthur, as Pelagius, was relegated to the DVD extended edition. He played Nazi Judge Roland Freisler in the HBO film Conspiracy. In 2006 he appeared in the Torchwood episode "Countrycide"; in 1985, he had appeared in the Doctor Who serial Vengeance on Varos as "Maldak". In 2006 he had a role in the HBO UK TV movie Tsunami: The Aftermath. In 2007, he guest-starred in the Doctor Who audio drama The Mind's Eye. In the same year, he starred in The Last Legion. In 2011, appeared as Ser Alliser Thorne in the HBO TV adaptation of George R. R. Martin's novel series A Song of Ice and Fire, called Game of Thrones. Teale has been married twice: to Dilys Watling and then to Sylvestra Le Touzel. John Painz

Biography

John Painz is a writer/director based in New York City. His first short film, 5AM, was a proof-of-concept film about cloning. In 2013, he produced, shot, and edited his first feature film, Enchantments, for director Kelsey O'Brien. In 2014, John and his producing partner, Julie Sisson, embarked on their first feature film, Stuck, with co-producer Lynn Mancinelli. It was nominated for a number of awards, including Best Supporting Actress (Katie Howe), Best Script, and Best Feature. John won the Soho International Film Festival Carbon Award for Most Creative Filmmaker, and Stuck won the Programmer Award at HHM. Their second feature film, Four Bottles, won the Audience Award at the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival. John is currently working on his third film, The Mourners.

Young's television credits include All My Children, Loving, and numerous appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Step By Step was her first television series. Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Mai Zetterling

Mai Elisabeth Zetterling ( May 24, 1925 – March 17, 1994) was a Swedish actress and film director. She began directing in the early 1960s, starting with political documentaries and a short film called The War Game (1962), which was nominated for a BAFTA award, and won a Silver Lion at Venice. Her first feature film Älskande par (1964, "Loving Couples"), based on the novels of Agnes von Krusenstjerna, was banned at the Cannes Film Festival for its sexual explicitness and nudity. Kenneth Tynan of The Observer later called it "one of the most ambitious debuts since Citizen Kane." It was not the only film she made that would stir up controversy for its frank sexuality (early pioneer on voyeurism). When critics reviewing her debut feature said that "Mai Zetterling directs like a man," she began to explore feminist themes more explicitly in her work. The Girls, which had an all-star Swedish cast including Bibi Andersson and Harriet Andersson, discussed women's liberation (or lack thereof) in a society controlled by men, as the protagonists compare their lives to characters in the play Lysistrata, and find that things have not progressed very much for women since ancient times.

Austin Campbell Pendleton (born March 27, 1940) is an American actor, playwright, theatre director, and instructor. Pendleton is known as a prolific character actor on the stage and screen, whose six-decade career has included roles in films including Catch-22 (1970); What's Up, Doc? (1972); The Front Page (1974); The Muppet Movie (1979), Short Circuit (1986); Mr. and Mrs. Bridge (1990); My Cousin Vinny (1992); Amistad (1997); A Beautiful Mind (2001), which earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture nomination; and Finding Nemo (2003). Pendleton received a Tony Award nomination for Best Direction of a Play for the Broadway revival of The Little Foxes in 1981. He has received two Drama Desk Award nominations and the recipient of a Special Drama Desk Award in 2007. He also received a Obie Award for Best Director for the 2011 off-Broadway revival of Three Sisters. Recent Broadway credits include Choir Boy in 2016 and The Minutes in 2022. Charlotte Walker

Biography

From Wikipedia Charlotte Ganahl Walker (December 29, 1876 [some sources say 1878] – March 23, 1958) was a Broadway theater actress from Galveston, Texas. She was born in Galveston to Edwin A. Walker (1849-1889) and Charlisa (De Ganahl) Walker (1855-1934) and was the mother of character actress Sara Haden. Walker's motion picture career began in 1915 with Kindling and Out of the Darkness. Sloth (1917) is a five-reeler which features Walker. In the third reel of this film she plays a youthful Dutch maid who is about sixteen years old. The setting is an old Dutch settlement on Staten Island, New York. The theme stresses the perils of indolence to a nation of people. It cautions against permitting luxury to replace the simplistic life led by America's forebears. In her later silent film work Walker can be seen in The Midnight Girl (1925) starring alongside a pre-Dracula Bela Lugosi. The Midnight Girl is one of Walker's few silents that survives. As a film actress Walker continued to perform in films into the early 1930s. Her later screen performances include roles in Lightnin (1930), Millie (1931), Salvation Nell (1931), and Hotel Variety (1933). Charlotte Walker died in 1958 at a hospital in Kerrville, Texas at age 81.

Her film roles include Alice in The Zany Adventures of Robin Hood (1984), a nurse in The Girl in a Swing (1988), Marthe in Giorgino (1994), Mrs Brabin in Purely Belter (2000), a pub customer in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005), a Ministry of Magic witch in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), and Hannah in Jane Eyre (2011). Elliott has appeared in numerous British television productions, including The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Travelling Man, Hi-de-Hi!, The Bill, This Life, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, Black Books, Coronation Street, King Leek and EastEnders. She also appeared in Central Independent Television's Halloween special The Worst Witch as Agatha's assistant, Delilah. It is said on the DVD commentary for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy that Garth Jennings, the director, only found out that Elliott had played Trillian in a stage adaptation of the same production after filming had finished.
