Jones and the Lady Book Agent

As Wanda bicycles down the street, she finds herself at the center of a series of adventures and mishaps involving fire trucks, a construction site, a cop, a policeman, a honky tonk but it all ends happily in the arms of a dreamy engineer.

Vitturo Caggoni is a gay-hearted, rollicking Italian troubadour. He meets a young woman, Marjorie Holbrook, and falls in love with her, serenades her, and courts her in the old romantic troubadour way.

Doris Moore is a country girl who is conned by two crooks, Harry Leland and Pop Clark. They convince the naive girl to come with them to New York City and play the badger game on William Lake. But the intervention of Kate Fallon, who runs the gang's New York home, saves the innocent and traps the guilty. Instead of tricking Lake, Doris marries him.

Horace Ventimore, a young London architect, stumbles across an old brass bottle. When he picks it up a genie suddenly appears and promises Horace that he will grant every wish Horace wants in exchange for his freedom. Horace accepts the genie's offer but finds out that things aren't working out quite as well as he thought they would.

His Indian servant, Kunwar Singh, casts a spell on Craven, causing him to leave Gillian and to go into the Algerian desert. There he joins Said, an old university friend who is the son of an Algerian sheik. Gillian follows, the servant is killed, and with him dies the spell, "The Shadow of the East."
