Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Kambiz Dirbaz is a film and television actor who was born in 1975 in Tonekabon, Iran. He began his professional career with theater and starred in Rahman Rezaei's "Wating Girls" for the first time. He won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actor at Fajr Film Festival for "Duel" by Ahmadreza Darvish. François Walthéry

Biography

François Walthéry (born 17 January 1946 in Argenteau near Liège) is a Belgian comics artist, best known for his series featuring an adventurous flight attendant, Natacha. Walthéry began his career in 1962 during studies at the Institut Saint-Luc in Liège, when he collaborated with scenario writer Mittéï to create his first comic, Pipo. The following year, Walthéry started working for Peyo, assisting on The Smurfs, Johan et Pirlouit and Benoît Brisefer. Eventually he assumed creative responsibility of the series Jacky et Célestin, taking over from Will. He started his best known work series in 1967, working with a script by Gos to create Natacha. Several years in the making, the series did not make its debut until 26 February 1970, in the Franco-Belgian comics magazine Spirou. Philip D'Antoni

Biography

Philip D'Antoni (February 19, 1929 – April 15, 2018) was an American film and television producer. He was best known for producing the Academy Award-winning 1971 film The French Connection. D'Antoni attended Evander Childs High School in the Bronx. He then served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948 during the occupation of Japan after World War II. He was eventually assigned to Special Services where he entertained troops by participating in theatrical productions. After army service, he attended Fordham University from 1948 to 1950, where he worked during the day attended school at night, and graduated with a degree in business administration. D'Antoni began his career on television with the production of the specials Sophia Loren in Rome, Elizabeth Taylor in London, and Melina Mercouri in Greece. He produced Bullitt in 1968. In 1971, he produced The French Connection, which won the Best Picture award, among other wins at the Oscars. In 1973, he produced and directed The Seven-Ups. After The Seven-Ups, D'Antoni, who held the rights to French Connection II and Gerald Walker's novel Cruising, eschewed feature filmmaking and turned his attention to television production where he enjoyed a lucrative contract with NBC. D'Antoni's crime dramas are characterized by a cold, gritty, "street" perspective with documentary style, often filmed during the bleak New York winter months, and offer the viewer a realistic and often dangerous sense of being an insider, as opposed to using glamorous locations or produced sets. D'Antoni won the Academy Award in 1972 for Best Picture and the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture Drama for The French Connection.

Jan Kiepura

Biography

From Wikipedia Jan Wiktor Kiepura (May 16, 1902 – August 15, 1966) was an acclaimed Polish singer (tenor) and actor. In 1926, Jan Kiepura left Poland for an international career in Germany, Hungary, France, and England. When he returned to Poland, with the money he had earned from his performances, he built the well-known hotel Patria in the Polish border town of Krynica-Zdrój, which cost him about US$3 million. Some Polish movies were made there. Kiepura played in twelve Polish musicals, including O czym się nie myśli (1926), Die Singende Stadt (Neapol, śpiewające miasto) (1930), Tout Pour L'amour (Zdobyć cię muszę) (1933), and Mon coeur t'appelle (1934). He signed contracts with Convert Garden in London, Opéra Comique in Paris and National Opera in Berlin. Kiepura also started a film career, working with Berlin's UFA and then with the Motion Picture Industry in Hollywood. He played in many films, of which the most famous are: The Singing City, The Song of Night, Ich liebe alle Frauen, The Charm of La Boheme, Das Land des Lächelns.

Biography

Born and raised in a small Iowa town, Emily started modeling with Elite and moved from Chicago to Milan, Paris, and finally London. She then based her modeling career out of New York for 10 years while she studied acting with Bill Esper and Wynn Handman. There she also worked acting and producing Off-Off Broadway theatre. Shortly after 9/11, she moved with F. Scott Shea, whom she married the next year, to Los Angeles allowing her to work more in entertainment and less in fashion. Emily has done some television and theatre, though she prefers to focus mainly on independent films. Once she quit modeling, Emily and Scott had a son, Hatcher, in June of 2006 and their next child is in the works: a independent film based on "The Buffalo Soldier", a national best-seller, written by novelist Chris Bohjalian. The book is being adapted by "Tennessee" screenwriter Russell Schaumburg; the film is being produced by Stu Pollard of Pollard Films. She is currently studying collage/montage art at Art Center for Design. Emily and her family make their home in the Hollywood Hills, with their kat Prince William and genetically challenged dog, Stella Blue.

is a Japanese professional wrestler better known by her ring name Cassandra Miyagi. She is currently signed to SENDAI Girls' Pro Wrestling. On November 24, 2014, Miyagi made her debut as Michiko Miyagi in a match won by Kyoko Kimura. On December 6, she was defeated by Sawako Shimono. The following year in 2015, Miyagi debuted as Cassandra Miyagi on October 25 in a tag match with Chikayo Nagashima against Chihiro Hashimoto & Meiko Satomura. On November 21, Miyagi had her first cross-promotion match when she joined Team SENDAI Girls (with Chihiro Hashimoto, DASH Chisako, Meiko Satomura, Mika Iwata & Sendai Sachiko) in a gauntlet tag match against members of World Wonder Ring Stardom (Hiromi Mimura, Io Shirai, Kairi Hojo, Kris Wolf, Mayu Iwatani & Momo Watanabe). Team STARDOM prevailed in the match encounter. On November 9, 2016, during the Sendai Girls 10th Anniversary Show, Miyagi had her first title match opportunity, challenging Chihiro Hashimoto for the Sendai Girls World Championship. She was however, unsuccessful in winning the title. Miyagi made her international debut in the United States for CHIKARA, on September 2, 2016. On September 3, during the quarter finals of the tournament, Team Sendai Girls eliminated The Colony (Fire Ant, Silver Ant & Soldier Ant). On September 4, during the semi finals of the tournament, Team Sendai Girls eliminated team Warriors Three (Oleg The Usurper, Princess KimberLee & The Estonian ThunderFrog). On that same date, Team Sendai Girls won the tournament final after eliminating Team JWP (Command Bolshoi, Hanako Nakamori & Manami Katsu). Miyagi and Team Sendai Girls returned the following year in 2017 to join the King Of Trios tournament on September 1. The team won the first round after eliminating Xyberhawx2000 (Nytehawk, Razerhawk & Sylverhawk). On September 2, Team Sendai Girls eliminated Crawdad, Hermit Crab & Merlok during the quarter finals. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia George Harvey Strait (born May 18, 1952) is an American country music singer, actor and music producer. Strait is referred to as the "King of Country," and critics call Strait a living legend. He is known for his unique style of western swing music, bar-room ballads, honky-tonk style, and fresh yet traditional Country music. George Strait holds the world record for more #1 hit singles than any other artist in the history of music on any chart or in any genre, having recorded 57 #1 hit singles as of 2010. Strait rocketed to success after his first single "Unwound" was a hit in 1981. While contributing to the neo-traditional movement of the 1980s, he amassed seven number one albums in the decade with his most popular hits including "Fool Hearted Memory" and "Ocean Front Property". By the 1990s, Strait had influenced a new breed of performers while continuing his own successes, having charted upwards of 20 number one hits including "Heartland" and "Blue Clear Sky". Michèle Bernier (born 2 August 1956) is a French actress, writer and director. She is the daughter of Georges Bernier (1929-2005), better known by the name of Professeur Choron and Odile Vaudelle (1934-1985). From 1982 to 1997, she was in a relationship with the author Bruno Gaccio. They had two children, Charlotte (born in 1987) and Enzo (born in 1997). After a theatrical training, she joined Le Petit Théâtre de Bouvard with many other comedians. There, she created a female comedy trio, "The Girls", together with Mimie Mathy and Isabelle de Botton.
