A breathtaking quest for the dream the imposing city of Brasilia was based on, a marked contrast with the chaos of the adjacent construction workers' village. Everything about Brasilia was devised and designed, but not on the basis of some cold urban design concept: the plan proves to originate from 19th-century priest Don Bosco’s dream. The chaos and disorder of the adjacent construction workers' village Vila Amauri long stood in stark contrast to the grandeur and majestic regularity of Brasilia. Now the village has disappeared beneath the reservoir’s surface, the necessary order has been restored. All Still Orbit examines both these histories.

Insomnies is an impressionistic look at the city at night, avoiding the clichés of commercial or tourist films and suggesting instead a lifestyle rhymed by windshield wipers and the music of The Honeymoon Killers. The film is flashing back-and-forth and ultimately leaves, like an arabesque of light and colour made of lines, curves and angles.

"Shotplayer" is an impressionistic journey into the mind of Wilfred Rose, one of New York City's most notorious pickpockets. As he returns to the subway for the first time in many years he reflects on a life of crime in a society that has left many of its citizens behind. "Shotplayer" asks, when is it ok to push back against that society? What does it mean to live as a criminal? What does it mean to live one’s life on an invisible plane? To live at all?

This experimental short film deals with anguish, as imagined by Claude Péloquin, author, poet, performer and filmmaker, in the early 1970s. Vertiginous camera angles, oppressive places and a disturbing soundtrack, the filmmaker uses his sound environment and the words of the interpreter Josée Vanasse to express this generalized disease at a time of great acceleration and fury for life.

Known as the 'Black Wall Street,' it covered 40 square blocks and boasted more than 600 businesses and 15,000 residents which was demolished, scores killed, and thousands left homeless. This is the retailing of this story through a mix of mediums and performances as well as spoken word.
