Directed by Tonia Selley, Dead Men Don't Tour was first broadcast on SABC 3 at 9.30pm on the 5th July 2001 just after 'Ripley's Believe Or Not'. This film features wonderful concert footage, backstage antics, interviews with Craig Bartholomew Strydom and Stephen "Sugar" Segerman, Rodriguez and his family, the promoters, the fans and the musicians. All live footage was filmed at the concerts in Pretoria, Durban and the Blues Room in Johannesburg.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will headlining on Sunday 28th June, with support from Dave Matthews Band, James Morrison, and The Gaslight Anthem. The second stage line-up includes Echo And The Bunnymen, Metric, Silversun Pickups, Magic Numbers, Johnny Flynn, Mumford & Sons, Priscilla Ahn, Starsailor, Joshua Radin, The Low Anthem, and Pretty Things.

These may be silly clichés, but they are the subject of IL TURCO IN ITALIA and the composer plays with them – quite deliberately. He knows that he is putting archetypes of Italian comedy on stage with figures such as the exotic lady-killer Selim, the young woman Fiorilla, who is chained to the stove at home, but adventurous, and her husband Geronio, who is ridiculous because he is much too old – and relishes the ironic exaggeration. Franz Welser-Most conducts the Zurich Opera House Chorus and Orchestra in this performance of Rossini's opera buffa.

A farmer wanted words to go with the tune he was playing when he saw a frog sitting on the bank of the stream. The frog did something silly which gave the farmer the words for his song. The farmer went to the corner store to sing his song for people there.
