A down-and-out Englishman, mistaken for a duke, is invited (for $50.00) to meet the wife of a gangster who is a passenger on a boat chartered by gangsters. When he cannot initially find his wife, the gangster tells the "duke" to remain in his room with his daughter while he finds the wife. Crazy complications ensue!

When two men, one from the city the other a trapper and a woman are trapped in a cabin in the Northwoods after a massive snowstorm. The villagers, mistaking the child for Mary's, are outraged at this "scarlet woman" flaunting her illegitimate child and attempt to drive her out. Complications ensue.

An aspiring writer and her boyfriend, a professional agitator head off to the Big Apple in search of good fortune. Unfortunately, the agitator soon finds himself in trouble with the cops.
