Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe's 2023 adaptation is based on Mérimée's original work "Carmen". This story, set in Spain, depicts Don José, a military noncommissioned officer, who is fascinated by the free-spirited Carmen and falls in love with her.

In January 2009, the Korean historical fantasy/drama The Legend, featuring Bae Yong Joon, having been turned into a Takarazuka-style musical by playwright and director Koike Shuuichirou, was performed by Flower Troupe and attracted a lot of attention. The story takes place at the time when the protagonist became the king of Gouryeo, which existed on the Korean Peninsula from the era before Christ until the 7th century. It tells of a repeating fate and agonizing love that has lived on for thousands of years. This time, it will be brought to the stage in a new version by a new Star Troupe led by Yuzuki Reon.

In the midst of Sweden's rise to power, King Gustav III was the "darling of the rococo" who brought to flower the gorgeous Nordic culture. Set in the turbulent 18th century Europe, where power and intrigue swirled around him, this musical depicts his love, friendship, and courageous battle for his beliefs on a grand scale, involving a variety of characters.

Messiah –The Strange Tale of of Amakusa Shirō– The story takes place in Edo Castle in 1656. Foreign-style painter Yuan Yamada is asked by the young shogun Ietsuna Tokugawa to tell him the truth about the rebellion in the Bizen Shimabara domain 20 years ago. Yuan begins to tell the story of Tokisada (Shiro) Amakusa, the man who stood up for the people and became venerated as a messiah. One Night of Stars The setting is in the middle of the Edo Period during the reign of Yoshimune Tokugawa. Kinosuke Amano is the second son of the Lord of the Mikazuki clan, based in a lush green village nestled among mountains in Kyushu. He is a free-spirited youth, who slips out of the castle every night and is enchanted by looking at the stars. One summer, on the night of Tanabata (“the Evening of the Seventh”), Kinosuke encounters Sen, a girl from Hotaru Village, and Genta, her friend from childhood. Together, they assemble a turret for observing the stars. The protagonist, Toshiaki Kirino, is born into a poor resident samurai family of the region yet grows to become one of the driving forces behind the Meiji Restoration, demonstrating extraordinary courage and swordsmanship. --- Romance!! -- “Romance!!” is the 19th program in the Romantic Revue series, which illustrates the glamor and tradition of the Takarazuka Revue. Highlighted by the outstanding singing of the leading star Kairi Hokusho, the Star Troupe delivers several vignettes on the eternal theme of the Takarazuka Revue — the romantic world of love.

-- Passion - José and Carmen -- Based on motifs in Mérimée's original work "Carmen," Don José is destined to be at the mercy of Carmen. His attraction to her passion is portrayed in this musical work. -- Apasionado!! III -- Apasionado in Spanish means "hot" or "the passion of man." To the theme of "heat," its various forms are incorporated into this revue, such as in hot rhythms, heated emotions, burning love, and the flames of jealousy. People will gamble their lives in the name of passion. It was performed by Moon Troupe in 2008, led by Sena Jun and in 2009 by Oozora Yuuhi of Cosmos Troupe. A staged piece overflowing with adult atmosphere, a brush-up will be delivered.

-- The Tale of Genji -- Hikaru Genji was born to Kiritsubotei when he was Emperor, as the second imperial Prince. Since childhood, he has harbored feelings of love for Fujitsubo-no-Nyogo, the Empress of Kiritsubotei. -- Melodia -- This performance comprises a number of musical pieces played to passionate as well as beautiful melodies and rhythms that generate excitement. They all are part of passionate and beautiful tunes that brim with love, dreams, hopes, passion, sorrow and an energy that knows no bounds.
