Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. William Goldman

Biography

William Goldman (August 12, 1931 – November 15, 2018) was an American novelist, playwright, and screenwriter. He came to prominence in the 1950s as a novelist, before turning to writing for film. He won two Academy Awards for his screenplays, first for the western Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) and again for All the President's Men (1976), about journalists Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, who broke the Watergate scandal of President Richard Nixon for the Washington Post. Both films starred Robert Redford. His other notable works include his thriller novel Marathon Man and comedy-fantasy novel The Princess Bride, both of which Goldman adapted for film. Author Sean Egan has described Goldman as "one of the late twentieth century’s most popular storytellers."

Akshay Khanna is an Indian film actor.He made his acting debut in 1997 with Himalay Putra which was produced by his father Vinod Khanna. Since then he has been featured in several critically and commercially acclaimed films. Akshaye has been a recipient of Filmfare Awards twice. His most popular films include Border (1997), Taal (1999), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Hulchul (2004), Race (2008) among others. He was critically acclaimed for his performance in Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Humraaz (2002), Gandhi, My Father (2007) and Dishoom (2016) Akshaye Khanna had a four year gap from his acting career following his role in Gali Gali Chor Hai. He returned in 2016 as an antagonistic character in the film Dishoom.

Jean Stapleton

Biography

Jean Stapleton was born Jeanne Murray in Manhattan, New York City, to Marie A. (Stapleton), an opera singer, and Joseph Edward Murray, a billboard advertising salesman. Her paternal grandparents were Irish. She was a cousin of actress Betty Jane Watson. Other relatives in show business were her uncle, Joseph E. Deming, a vaudevillian; and her brother Jack Stapleton, a stage actor. She graduated from Wadleigh High School, NYC, in 1939, and attended Hunter College. She worked as a secretary before becoming an actress. Stapleton made her stage debut at the Greenwood Playhouse, Peaks Island, Maine, in the summer of 1941, and her New York stage debut in "The Corn Is Green" (1948). She appeared on Broadway in the musicals "Damn Yankees" (1955) and "Bells Are Ringing" (1956), and later repeated her roles in the movie versions (Damn Yankees (1958) and Bells Are Ringing (1960)). Her other Broadway roles included the original companies of "Rhinoceros" (1961) and "Funny Girl" (1964). Stapleton also played Abby Brewster in the 1986-87 revival of "Arsenic and Old Lace".

Eijirō Tōno

Biography

Eijirō Tōno (東野英治郎 Tōno Eijirō, 17 September 1907 – 8 September 1994) was a Japanese actor who, in a career lasting more than 50 years, appeared in over 400 television shows, nearly 250 films and numerous stage productions. He is best known in the West for his roles in films by Akira Kurosawa, such as Seven Samurai (1954) and Yojimbo (1961), and films by Yasujirō Ozu, such as Tokyo Story (1953) and An Autumn Afternoon (1962). He also appeared in Kill! by Kihachi Okamoto and Tora! Tora! Tora!, a depiction of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. His final film was Juzo Itami's A-ge-man (Tales of a Golden Geisha) in 1990. Tōno also starred as the title character in the long-running television jidaigeki series Mito Kōmon from 1969 to 1983. In the early years of his career he acted under the name of Katsuji Honjo (本庄克二).

William Spetz (born 4 April 1996 in Umeå) is a Swedish comedian and television personality. He became known after posting comedic videos on YouTube, he then got to do the two comedic kids shows Williams lista and Scener ur ett tonårsliv which was aired on SVT Play. Spetz started blogging at the age of 12 at the blog portal Blogspot, but because of lack of interest he asked the paper Västerbottens-Kuriren if he could start a youth blog at their blog portal. In May 2010, Spetz started to do videoblogs at the YouTube channel "Lilla bloggen". In 2014, Spetz was a travelling reporter for Musikhjälpen and travelled to Mozambique. Spetz has also been a panellist at Intresseklubben on SVT. In November 2015, it was announced by SVT, that Spetz was one of the co-hosts alongside Gina Dirawi for the final of Melodifestivalen 2016.

Jaime Lyn Beatty was born and raised in New York City. At 12 years old she became the first child member to be accepted at the famed Thirteenth Street Repertory Company. She is a proud graduate of the Drama Department at the world renowned LaGuardia High School for Performing Arts (a.k.a the 'FAME' school) and has studied improv at Second City Chicago and with LA's The Groundlings founder Gary Austin. In 2006 she was honored at the 51st Annual Drama Desk Awards with a scholarship award for Excellence in Acting and Production presented by actor Richard Griffths.
