The Ashlee Simpson Show was a television reality show about the life of Ashlee Simpson. Consisting of eight half-hour episodes, the first season ran on MTV in the U.S. in the summer of 2004. The show proved quite successful and helped to establish widespread recognition for Simpson, whose album was released on July 20, 2004, a month after the show began airing, and debuted at number one in sales. Jordan Schur, the president of Simpson's record label, Geffen, said that "There's no question that it really helped expose her and her music. She's got a tremendous personality; people gravitate toward that. They want to watch her and listen to her music." The second season, consisting of ten episodes, aired in early 2005.

Boer Soek 'n Vrou is a reality program based on the international series "Farmer Wants A Wife". The farmers for the program are selected from hundreds of applications and then introduced to the public in a special program on KykNET earlier in the year. Singles then get the chance to send a romantic love letter to the farmer of their choice. Based on the letters that the farmers receive, they choose 10 potential life partners that they would like to get to know better on the program.

Princess T-ARA was a reality television program broadcasted on the cable channel Mnet Japan starting on April 19th, 2013 starring T-ARA. The show ended on September 27th, 2013 after 24 episodes. The show follows the girls behind the scenes in Japan and showcasing their schedules in Japan and South Korea.
