Tropes vs. Women in Video Games aims to examine limiting, sexist patterns associated with female representations in games, and to illuminate how these patterns reinforce and perpetuate harmful attitudes about women in our culture.

Cybernet was a weekly video gaming magazine programme, originally broadcast overnight on the ITV network in the United Kingdom. The programme was commissioned by Yorkshire Television and produced by Capricorn Programmes and also aired on GBC TV in Gibraltar. It was broadcast overseas on Dutch, Brazilian, Mexican television, the channel 2M TV in Morocco and the 4 channel in Russia, with local voice-overs. The programme featured reviews, previews, tips and reports on video gaming and computer technology.

Spyder Games is a television series that was broadcast on MTV from June 18, 2001 through September 20, 2001. MTV's second foray into the soap opera format following the run of the anthology series Undressed, the series was originally called Spyder Web in development. Originally intended for a 3 pm time slot, Spyder Games ultimately debuted at 7 pm because of its racy content. The final episodes, originally scheduled to air during the week of 10 September 2001, were postponed by a week because of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The last episode was written as cliffhanger, but MTV did not pick the series up for a second season.

Following on from the first series of Pirate Islands, The Lost Treasure of Fiji is essentially a computer game. The characters find themselves pulled into this alternate reality world, and must try to find their way back out.

Ace Lightning is a children's television series co-produced by the BBC and Alliance Atlantis, which has been broadcast in the United States as well as in the United Kingdom and Australia. The show was filmed in Canada, but the program was set in America. It ran for two seasons, and spawned several books, including a yearbook for the year 2003, an activity book and a companion to the series. A computer game based upon the show was released in 2002. Most of the programme was live-action, although the heroes and villains from the video game were created using CGI. The primary focus of the series is the power of friendship, as well as the battle between good and evil. The series is significant in that until its creation, live action and CGI had not been attempted to such a huge and constant degree within a weekly television serial.

GameTrailers TV with Geoff Keighley is a television show about video games hosted by video game journalist Geoff Keighley. Originally titled Game Head, on January 25, 2008, the show relaunched under its current name with a slightly different format and further incorporation of GameTrailers hosts, Amanda MacKay and Daniel Kayser. The series airs Friday nights at different times at 12am, 12:30am, 1am, and 1:30am Eastern Time on Spike TV in the U.S. and Canada.

Mega Man is a robot created by a brilliant scientist named Dr. Light, who hoped many his many creations would only be used for good. One day however, a mad scientist named Dr. Wily stole Light's original 6 robots and creation plans. From them he began creating a whole new series of robots, with one goal... World Domination! But Dr. Light gave Mega Man the ultimate trump card when he built him. Mega Man possesses the ability to absorb the powers of other robots. Now Mega Man and his best friend, a robotic dog named Rush fight for everlasting peace against the evil Dr. Wily!

Kaede Honjou is invited by her friend Risa Shiramine to play a virtual reality MMO game with her. While Kaede doesn't dislike games, what she really, truly dislikes is being in pain. She creates a character named Maple, and decides to put all her points in VIT to minimize pain. As a result, she moves slowly, can't use magic, and even a rabbit can get the best of her. But as it turns out, she acquires a skill known as "Absolute Defense" as a result of her pumping points into VIT, as well as a "Counter Skill" that works against special moves. Now, with her ability to nullify all damage, she goes on adventures.

Bittomo x Heroine Kirameki Powers! is the 5th instalment in the Girls x Heroine series. The themes of this season are friendship and games. Before Kirari becomes the main character, she one day encounters Himenyan who jumps out of a game console! In reality, Himenyan is the princess of Kirapawa Kingdom that is from a popular sword and magic game “Kiramori”. Afraid of the enemy Makkulala, she ran away. However, the Makkura Empire chase after her getting her into big trouble. The “bibitto” Kirari becomes friends (bittomo) with Himenyan and transforms into the “Heroine of the Sun, Kirapawa Sunny” where she fights against the Makkura Empire. Finding reassuring friends, gathering precious Kirapawa Memories, they’ll win over the battle against strong enemies! Finally, defeating the Dark Witch Makkulala and protecting the world!

Icons was a documentary TV show on G4 that originally focused on significant people, companies, products, history, and milestones in world of video games. It was relaunched in 2006 and focused entirely on pop culture. It was cancelled soon afterwards. On May 10, 2006, it was announced that Icons was relaunching on June 3 with an episode focusing on J.J. Abrams. The show will feature a broader scope on things and people "men 18–34 care about, admire and emulate." Future episodes would focus on Marc Ecko, The Onion, and Family Guy. This change in format had been suspected, due to the recent episodes about George A. Romero, Frank Miller and the history of the King Kong franchise. The classic video game themed episodes continued to air on the network sporadically until 2008, under the new name of Game Makers.

GamesMaster was a British television show, screened on Channel 4 from 1992 to 1998, and was the first ever UK television show dedicated to computer and video games.
