This unique and hilarious series sees presenter Matt Richardson and co-host Ken Cheng spring a surprise on hungover Brits across the country, challenging them to compete in an outrageous set of challenges, based on their antics from the night before, all for the chance of winning a cash prize. Under the assumption they are taking part in a documentary about British night life, a group of mates will be followed by the cameras on a night out. What they won't find out until the next morning is that they are really taking part in a brand new game show. Groggily woken up to a knock on the door from Matt early the next morning, they will learn that they have the chance to win a cash prize if they can make it out of bed and take part in The Hangover Games. Each game will test their memories of the night before and they'll have to rely on one another's stamina, clear thinking, emotional stability and iron stomachs if they want to be crowned winners. Adam Hills, one of Australia's favourite comedians and winner of Edinburgh's Best of the Fest award, is joined by two team captains, comedian and actor Alan Brough and radio breakfast announcer Myf Warhurst, as well as brave personalities who enjoy having long forgotten embarrassing stories laughed about on national television. Tipping Point is a British television game show presented by Ben Shephard and is broadcast on ITV. The show began airing on 2 July 2012 and sees contestants answering general knowledge questions to win counters which they use on a large coin pusher arcade-style machine which releases the counters worth £50 each. The third series began airing on 20 May 2013. Twelve celebrity editions of the show, known as Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, aired between June and August 2013. These feature three celebrities, playing to win up to £20,000 for their chosen charities.

Unsuspecting members of the public secretly will be recruited to pull a prank on their unwitting companions with absolutely no time to prepare. If they agree to participate, they must obey all instructions given through an earpiece from a secret control room nearby. With the opportunity to prank their way to cash and prizes, these everyday people will be shown no mercy as they are tasked with pulling off some of the most ridiculous behavior ever caught on hidden camera.

Queen for a Day was an American radio and television game show that helped to usher in American listeners' and viewers' fascination with big-prize giveaway shows. Queen for a Day originated on the Mutual Radio Network on April 30, 1945 in New York City before moving to Los Angeles a few months later, and running until 1957. The show then ran on NBC Television from 1956 to 1964. The series is considered a forerunner of modern-day "reality television". The show became popular enough that NBC increased its running time from 30 to 45 minutes to sell more commercials, at a then-premium rate of $4,000 per minute.

Bullseye was a popular British television programme. It was first made for the ITV network by ATV in 1981, then by Central from 1982 until 1995, and was hosted by Jim Bowen.

Cash Cab: After Dark is a spin-off of the Discovery Channel series that aired in 2007. The contestants were picked up near or after sunset as well as overnight and the cash value of the questions was double that of the regular version of the show. The questions were usually more difficult than the daytime version.

A game show following contestants as they travel through a massive maze, answering multiple-choice questions along the way. The maze consists of rooms filled with money; and the further in they go, the bigger the prize. But in order to collect the price, however, contestants must remember what they learned along the way as they find their way out.

The Million Second Quiz is an American television game show produced by All3Media America. It commenced broadcasting on NBC on September 9, 2013. The show follows a group of contestants who compete for up to $2 million in a quiz competition across 1,000,000 seconds. NBC aired one-hour segments each day, while the rest of the show was viewable from within the Million Second Quiz app and on NBC.com. It is executive produced by Stephen Lambert, Eli Holzman and David Hurwitz. Ryan Seacrest hosted the first season. The winner of the first season, Andrew Kravis, totaled $2.6 million which is the highest grand prize in game show history.

Chain Letters was a British television game show produced by Tyne Tees. The show was filmed at their City Road studios in Newcastle Upon Tyne and first broadcast on ITV in the United Kingdom from 7 September 1987 to 6 July 1990, then again from 2 January 1995 to 25 April 1997. Three contestants competed to win money by changing letters in words to form new words. Its original host was the late Jeremy Beadle, followed by Andrew O'Connor, Allan Stewart, Ted Robbins, Vince Henderson and Dave Spikey.

Celebrity Deathmatch is a claymation television show that depicts celebrities against each other in a wrestling ring, almost always ending in the loser's gruesome death. It was known for its excessive amount of blood used in every match and exaggerated physical injuries. The series was created by Eric Fogel; with the pilots airing on MTV on January 1 & 25 1998. The initial series ran from May 14, 1998 to October 20, 2002, and lasted for a 75-episode run. There was one special that did not contribute to the final episode total, entitled "Celebrity Deathmatch Hits Germany", which aired on June 21, 2001. Professional wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin gave voice to his animated form as the guest commentator. Early in 2003, a film based on the series was announced by MTV to be in the making, but the project was canceled by the end of that year. In 2005, MTV2 announced the revival of the show as part of their "Sic 'Em Friday" programming block. Originally set to return in November 2005, the premiere was pushed back to June 10, 2006 as part of a new "Sic'emation" block with two other animated shows, Where My Dogs At and The Adventures of Chico and Guapo. The show's fifth season was produced by Cuppa Coffee Studios and the premiere drew over 2.5 million viewers, becoming MTV2's highest rated season premiere ever.

Gladiators is a British television entertainment series, produced by LWT for ITV, and broadcast between 10 October 1992 and 1 January 2000. It is an adaptation of the American format American Gladiators. The success of the British series spawned further adaptations in Australia and Sweden. The series was revived in 2008, before again being cancelled in 2009. The series was originally presented by John Fashanu and Ulrika Jonsson, however, Fashanu was replaced by Jeremy Guscott in 1997. Guscott left the series in 1998, and subsequently, Fashanu returned for the final series in 1999. The series was refereed by John Anderson and the timekeepers over the show's run were Andrew Norgate, Derek Redmond and Eugene Gilkes. John Sachs was the show's commentator, and the series was accompanied by its own group of cheerleaders, known as G-Force. Despite being made by London Weekend Television, all episodes of Gladiators, International Gladiators, the second series of The Ashes and the first series of The Springbok Challenge were recorded at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham. The first series of The Ashes and the second series of the The Springbok Challenge, however, were filmed on the sets of the Australian and South African versions of the shows respectively. The series also spawned a version for children, entitled Gladiators: Train 2 Win, which was broadcast on CITV between 1995 and 1998.
