From his cozy library inside the walls of a suburban home, an intellectual snail tells of his life’s love, loss and change.

Born in the 1890s to an affluent family, Abigail grows up surrounded by the care and concern of her four devoted grandparents. In her twenties she falls in love with Thomas, a poor piano tutor her overprotective grandparents decide is not good enough for their darling Abigail. They may be ghosts only Abigail can see, but these ancient apparitions can still do some serious damage to her romantic prospects.

This comical love story follows the story of A.J. Fikry, whose life is not at all what he expected it to be. His wife has died, his bookstore is experiencing the worst sales in its history and now his prized possession, a rare edition of Poe poems, has been stolen. Casper explains that he thought up that gag to end the cartoon!

The literacy rate in Farmer Brown's barn goes up considerably once his cows find an old typewriter and begin typing. To the harassed farmer's dismay, his communicative cows quickly become contentious. When he refuses to comply with their demands, the cows take action. Farmer Brown finds another note on the barn door: "Sorry. We're closed. No milk today." Soon the striking cows and Farmer Brown are forced to reach a mutually agreeable compromise, with the help of an impartial party--the duck. But this poor, beleaguered farmer's "atypical" troubles are not over yet!

Even dead kids can be a bad influence. Take what happens to Billy for example. Casper the "friendly" ghost takes the slightly awkward little boy under his wing, and before long the two of them are cheating in a local football game.

In this pun-title cartoon (from Toast of the Town) Casper, the friendly ghost, is banished from Ghost Town/Heaven/Territory, because he refuses to frighten living people.
