I've Been Looking for Something

An isolated lake, where an old monk lives in a small floating temple. The monk has a young boy living with him, learning to become a monk. We watch as seasons and years pass by.

Lost in inertia and apathy, a young man wanders through his own emotions — or what’s left of them.

"This video was generated from within an European erotic film. The act of rewinding and fast-forwarding the footage mirrors a sexual gesture, while simultaneously degrading its visual quality. For me, this situation resembles a Hellmouth."

Constructed purely out of b-roll, “Waste of a Day” is a completely improvised and unscripted short film that follows a man that has left his light on for too long...

"After the experience of making the film for my thesis defense, and, of course, translating and working on the essay Amateur vs. Professional [Amateur Cinema], particularly Maya Deren’s definition of amateur cinema, it became a concern of mine. After a difficult year, I decided, based on a personal manifesto shaped by my surroundings [Paramedia], to make a film that I myself would like to see more of. A film created through image, montage, and the possibilities specific to the cinematic apparatus, with an emphasis on organicity. At the same time, it was a response to the question of mainstream cinema versus art cinema, and ultimately an attempt to arrive at a third option, one that is completely separate from those two modes of cinema: experimental cinema, structural, abstract, expansive, and so on. The final product was Me, I'm Not."

An experimental, activist short-film following Quinn, who falls pregnant, but did not have the freedom to choose. So she takes matters into her own hands.

Memory is a collaboration with musician Noah Lennox (Panda Bear), exploring the relationship between a musician and filmmaker and their personal reflection on memories. From Super 8 home movies and entirely handmade, this film explores familiar memories, the present moment combined with past experiences and how it all seems to evade from our present memory.
