Hot Spots: Martin Parr in the American South, a thirty minute documentary short, examines the photography of Magnum's most controversial and prolific member as he gathers images for his first commission by a major American art museum, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. From the first shot at the Cactus Car Wash to the unusual travel tip offered to Martin at the Atlanta Steeple Chase six months later. Psychobillys, tailgate partiers, roller derby teams, art collectors and gamblers...Martin Parr's energy and x-ray vision burn through the South like a modern day William Hogarth's. The film features interviews with Susan Meiselas, Philip Gefter, John Gossage and Julian Cox. Hot Spots shows us Martin Parr at his most outrageous.

Two layers of mesh overlap on the left. One rotates over the course of a day, its speed shifting gradually. On the right, a single mesh remains still. Digital interference is continuously superimposed onto the physical rotation. Where no rotation occurs, motion persists through digital interference alone. Under different conditions, the two images arrive at similar shimmering forms. The sound drifts with the sky. Tremolo. Pulse.

The action is placed in a cramped flat in Warsaw’s district of Ochota. A father and a son, both bedridden, live in a fascinating symbiosis. The son, a well‑known photographer Bernard ben Dobrowolski, is lying in bed because a chronic condition has deformed his body and immobilized him. The father, Dominik, has recently suffered from a stroke. Now they are taking care of each other and crowds of visitors move through their room.

Over 32 years of archives, patterns emerge and stare back. Will they shape the films I'm trying to make – or haunt their edges?

In 2011, photographer Tanja Hollander decided to visit each one of her Facebook "friends" (all 626 of them) in their homes and make formal portraits of each of them. Armed with her cameras and iPhone, Tanja traveled throughout the U.S. and around the world for 5 years, meticulously documenting her experiences in real time and creating a historical narrative, both visual and written, along the way. Her project is an exploration of friendships, the effects of social networks, the intimate places we call home and the communities in which we live.

Legendary photographer and director Anton Corbijn is responsible for many of the most indelible and important images of the past two and a half decades. His recently released book U2 & I is a photographic retrospective of his 25 year collaboration with U2. Later this year, Anton will direct his first feature film, Control, based on the life of the late Joy Division lead singer Ian Curtis.

"Meat Joy is an erotic rite — excessive, indulgent, a celebration of flesh as material: raw fish, chicken, sausages, wet paint, transparent plastic, ropes, brushes, paper scrap. Its propulsion is towards the ecstatic — shifting and turning among tenderness, wildness, precision, abandon; qualities that could at any moment be sensual, comic, joyous, repellent. Physical equivalences are enacted as a psychic imagistic stream, in which the layered elements mesh and gain intensity by the energy complement of the audience. The original performances became notorious and introduced a vision of the 'sacred erotic.' This video was converted from original film footage of three 1964 performances of Meat Joy at its first staged performance at the Festival de la Libre Expression, Paris, Dennison Hall, London, and Judson Church, New York City."
