Attendees delight in sharing their sometimes obscure & sometimes popular musical (& otherwise) loves. For mm 49 (in the 37th month of "mm"'s history) a marathon listening party celebrating the music of Vivian Fine was decided upon. Fine was a dedicated composer who produced a variety of work over a 70 year career. This movie, of course, is not an imitation of Ken Burns style documentary movie-making. Instead, I gleefully mix the casualness & lively uninhibited conversation of mms with the formal exactitude of Fine's music. I hope you enjoy it as an upstanding example of Punk Classical. It represents emptiness and the feeling of fading away on a night surrounded by lights that convey heaviness and a constant feeling of losing touch with reality. "the smell of plastic makes me feel at peace with myself, it's real life. I'm dragging the soles of my feet on the burning pavement, that way I can erase myself, yes... back to reality again"

A fever dream of the faces of love. Six circles of love. A kind of death and rebirth experienced within each circle. Each song in the short film evokes a realm of what love can feel like to a human being, the metamorphosis through the experience of Love. Faced with the person that was at every metamorphosis, there is a certain death, and certain transformation. We watch her move without words towards salvation.
