Football is both the place, the crystallization of sporting passion and the witness of identity imaginations. It is also an interesting and relevant area for discussing the migration issue. From the 1930s to the present day, football, notably with the composition of the French team, has reflected the plurality of the French population. Raymond Kopa, Michel Platini, Zinedine Zidane, Basile Boli... these four footballers alone illustrate the four major waves of immigration that France has experienced.

The 1960s opened with La Dolce Vita by Federico Fellini and its unforgettable lead: Marcello Mastroianni. The actor seemed to glide effortlessly through his roles — and through life — as if to say that life is not all that serious, or perhaps that it is far too serious not to be laughed at. But what kind of man was hiding behind the actor with the handsome, boyish looks, who appeared so gentle and nonchalant?

DGSE : La Fabrique des agents secrets

In 1974, a group of friends, inspired by what they had seen in Italy and driven by their common passion, organized a comic book fair in their Charente town of Angoulême. Half a century later, the event has become an internationally renowned festival, which is about to celebrate its 50th edition. This documentary tells the story of the creation of the Angoulême International Comics Festival in the context of the 1970s, and the evolution of the event since then, which has made the city a world reference in an exponentially growing bubble market.

In the wake of "Mondovino", this film offers new research on the world of cheese, through a work of investigation and discovery in various parts of France, but also Italy and the United States. It highlights two clashing worlds: on one side the taste of defenders and diversity, the other multinational companies, supermarkets and proponents of food globalization. The "stinky cheese" has become an iconic element in the debate on the French exception, globalization, industrial food and the environment.

Detention of immigrant children in a former medium-security prison in Texas in 2007-8 leads to controversy when three activist attorneys discover troubling conditions at the facility. This compelling documentary film explores the role – and limits – of community activism, and considers how American rights and values apply to the least powerful among us. Since the film's release, activists Bob Libal, Barbara Hines, Vanita Gupta and Michelle Brane' have remained on the front lines of the continuing battles against injustice and child detention.
