Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha battled for technological dominance in the high-powered world of 500cc two-stroke racers - and to ride these beasts they employed the very best riders in the world. The likes of Rainey, Schwantz, Lawson and Mamola struggled to tame the raw power and brutal handling of bikes built without constraints and without any of the modern rider aids which make today's MotoGP four-stroke machines seem bland in comparison. The riders might have been paid handsomely for their efforts but, as this film shows, they paid a heavy price for their fame and stardom. With loads of great action shots from the archives and revealing, frank interviews with many of the top riders this incredible documentary looks at the men who had to ride the unrideables.

From a very young age, Herby discovered the world of car racing. Even though he worked hard to buy his first car, and despite his undeniable talent, the social class he came from did not open the necessary doors to climb the ladder. Carried by his childhood dream, by the smell of fuel and asphalt, he gravitates all his life around the racing world. Among other things, he works as a mechanic for wealthy drivers and tries, as best he can, to continue to make his mark on the circuit, until perhaps reaching his ultimate goal, driving on the Nascar circuit.

But only as tourists.” At the airport, the North Korean consulate brought us to a restaurant and these women came out and started singing North Korean nationalist songs. We were thinking, “Look, we were just on a plane for 20 hours. Can we just go to bed?” but this guy with our group who was from the LA Times told us, “Everyone in here besides us is secret police. If you don’t act excited then you’re not going to get your visa. So we got drunk and jumped up onstage and sang songs with the girls. The next day we got our visas. This first installment of The Little Travelers set in Japan is a true pearl in the sea of children s media! It is filled with tender moments between the two sisters, Chantel and Nakia, and their new Japanese friends that demonstrate to viewers, young and old, how cultural understanding can flourish and ideally move us closer to world peace. What an incredible job the film does in sharing the very different customs, foods, and living arrangements. I wanted to live in Japan with the girls! There are moments in the video that I laughed with pure delight when Nakia and Chantel tried to walk in their wooden sandals or fell asleep on the train. There were equally exquisite moments when the sisters played among the blossoming cherry trees or visited the tranquil religious shrines.
