In a dystopian society where the state has the power to determine who can and cannot father children, four men attend a government sanctioned retreat in the remote mountains of California. Lord of the Beans follows the fantastic journey of a Flobbit named Toto Baggypants (Junior Asparagus) who inherits a most unusual and powerful bean. With the help of his mentor Randall and a spirited group of friends, Toto embarks on a mission to discover how he should use his gift. On their quest, the group encounters many challenges, including crossing the mountains of Much-Snowia, and facing the dreaded Lord Scaryman – who seeks the bean for misguided, selfish reasons. Will Toto discover the purpose of his giver, or will the scary dude and his Spark army capture the bean and wield its awesome powers?

Roger Blanchard has a busy life. On the family side, he is married and has two children, aged ten and fifteen. On the work side, he holds an important position at the Ministry of Culture. To bolster his social status, he has a mistress to liven up his Saturdays. But nothing is going right. His wife Marion exasperates him, his children irritate him, his job gives him no real satisfaction, his mistress neglects him and his superior, Monsieur Gambaud, gets on his nerves. But when he meets a beautiful young secretary, his life and habits are turned upside down: Blanchard amuses him and gets his way. In revenge, Gambaud warns Blanchard's wife.
