Acting on the Darwin theory, that man descended from a monkey, a scientist experiments towards turning man back to the monkey stage. He inoculates a number of persons with the preparation and after the subjects reach their homes the reversing process begins, and they become monkified. Their antics are uproariously funny. The scientist is unable to turn them back to human beings again, so they are collected in a large cage and places on exhibition. Here they are visited by an ape dressed in human attire. On Mickey's birthday, Miss Pipps, the school teacher, serves cake and ice cream during school hours. Sour old Mr. Pratt, head of the school board, stumbles on the festivities and has Miss Pipps fired. The Our Gang conspire to save her job by inviting all the parents to a special meeting. There the gang stage a melodrama, with Mr. Pratt portrayed as Simon Legree. The parents react by demoting Mr. Pratt to janitor. They appoint kindly Mr. Swanson, the current janitor, to head the school board. And of course they reinstate Miss Pipps as school teacher. Sometime later, in an act of forgiveness, Miss Pipps and the gang hold a birthday party for Pratt who is then humbled by the experience.

Accidental meetings and misconceptions lead a blissfully happy couple to fight and squabble.

Patsy Kelly is a baby sitter who has no end of problems dealing with the kids in her charge. When Harold and Genevieve sit down in the moonlight for some billing and cooing, Patsy comes along and explains to them that marriage equates to kids and kids equate to trouble.

In World War One France, Private Slim and Sergeant Gribbon have a love/hate relationship, but mostly hate.Both have fallen for the same girl, and Slim seemingly can't compete when Gribbon gives her fancy lingerie. Gribbon has no problem belting Slim around, and giving him extended latrine-digging duties.
