An Invisible Man Goes Through the City

Jonathan Pride is a mild-mannered dance instructor in 1820 Boston. En route to visit relatives, Jonathan is shanghaied by a band of zany pirates and forced to work as a galley boy. When the pirate vessel arrives at the port of Las Palomas, Jonathan, clad in buccaneer's garb, makes his escape. Everyone in Las Palomas, including Governor Alcalde (Frank Morgan) and fetching senorita Serafina (Steffi Duna), assumes that Jonathan is the pirate chieftain, leading to a series of typical comic-opera complications.

Retired Hofrat Geiger discovers by chance that he has an illegitimate daughter. In the film, spies and saboteurs with wallets full of dollars and pistols in their hands set fire to Hungarian factories. The former ruling class was reluctant to give up its place in life and had to be fought to the death.

Shot in the beautiful scenery of the Tatra Mountains, this sensational drama revolves around a thwarted smuggling of art pieces across the Polish-Czechoslovak border to the West. Highlander Jasiek used to be a smuggler, now he is a soldier of the Border Protection Forces, serving in his homeland, in the Tatra Mountains. Under the influence of the educational work of his superiors, as well as his love for Halka, he becomes a righteous citizen. He contributes to preventing the smuggling of valuable works of art abroad organized by a Polish aristocrat and carried out by a gang.
