The beautiful Aurora is cursed into everlasting sleep by an evil witch for a crime she didn't commit. The brave Commander of the Guard, William, embarks on a quest inspired by both love and loyalty to free the doomed princess. His art, however, consists of a deranged method of stop motion photography, where the individual frames of the movie are created by photographs made by Dr. Johann Friedrich, depicting the bodies of dead soldiers, pushed down by Sergeant Al from a giant springboard onto a slab of concrete.

Causes and effects

A lonely 9-year-old boy stumbles across a modest caravan in the American Midwest. Inside the caravan lives Dotty, an eccentric but kind women; old enough to be his grandmother. Dotty invites the boy into her rainbow decorated caravan that is littered with exotic memorabilia from her past, and in particular an incredible collection of brightly colored shoes. The boy, who has a hidden sadness he wont discuss and a suspicious bruise on one arm is able to forget about his troubles momentarily as Dotty and the boy embark on a journey that spans her colorful life.

An old donkey resolves to break away from the unbearable hardships of working for a fat miller. By and by, he recruits three more unsatisfied animals and convinces them to accompany him on his way to Bremen where they want to become musicians.
