Based on the manga by Sadao Jouji which has been running in the magazine Shukan Gendai since 1969.

Hama-chan accompanies Su-san on a business trip to Okinawa in the middle of the recession, but Su-san remains in low spirits over business matters.

Shinjo is a new employee at NEO Beer, which is currently ranked fifth in the industry. When NEO’s president demands that they figure out a way to capture the top market share, Sales division chief Nakanishi and his team are struggling to come up with ideas when Shinjo suggests “sexy” as a possible marketing buzzword.

Hama-chan’s sales department gets a new supervisor, a hard-working taskmaster that’s the very opposite of carefree, irresponsible Hama-chan. The veteran employee decides to find his boss, a divorced father, a new wife. The supervisor loves a bar hostess “mama-san,” but is unable to confess his true feelings until Hama-chan comes to his rescue.

A bored accountant spots a beautiful woman in the window of a ballroom dance studio. He secretly starts taking dancing lessons to be near her, and then over time discovers how much he loves dancing. His wife, meanwhile, has hired a private detective to find out why he has started coming home late smelling of perfume.

Yumiko returns to work in Hama-chan's department. She had once left the company after getting married, but a dark shadow now seems to loom over her.

Hama-chan and his wife are ecstatic about their long-awaited pregnancy. Meanwhile, Su-san's nephew joins Hama-chan's department at the company.

Hama-chan shows up to work with his son on his back when his wife goes to her class reunion and his mother throws her back out.

Approached by a friend about a matchmaking arrangement, Su-san goes to Hama-chan's home seeking help. Hama-chan is away on a business trip, but Michiko entertains Su-san late into the night. When he gets drunk and ends up spending the night, Hama-chan, begins to question his boss's relationship with Michiko.

Hama-chan and Su-san meet a charming woman on a fishing trip, but forget to ask her name. Days later, Hama-chan sees her again at a dentist's office.

Su-san resigns after getting fed up with corporate life, but he finds himself back in familiar surroundings on his first assignment at a new job.

Compilation film for 30-sai made Doutei dato Mahoutsukai ni Nareru Rashii and will depict episodes not shown in the TV anime.

During business trip Yohei Tanaka prays at a local shrine. Much to his surprise, his wishes come true. He wins some money at the lottery and cures his long lasting diarrhoea. His final wish also comes true. He is asked to direct a film.

Hama-chan gets Su-san hooked on fishing, but Su-san has some problems to deal with; a beautiful woman saves Su-san when he collapses while fishing.

Shizuya (Ito Kentaro), the only son of the Kanto region’s largest gang, the Shinshu Clan, which he hates being associated with, works instead for a design company. He works diligently while developing a liking for his strong-willed colleague Akino (Kakei Miwako), but when his father is shot and killed, the battle for succession intensifies. Peaceful lives are transformed.

Su-San invites Hama-chan to go fishing at a place close to his heart after learning about Hama-chan and his wife's fertility problems.
