A Japanese Yakuza gangster's deadly existence in his homeland gets him exiled to Los Angeles, where he is taken in by his little brother and his brother's gang.

Pro boxer Aoshima Toru is diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor and given three months to live. He uses his prize money to pay the medical expenses for a young boy with polio. But when Toru learns from his fiancee Itsuko that his own mother has died, things take a turn for the worse.

Sabu and his pals hold a pauper's funeral for Sabu's mother. His brother Jiro arrives home, fresh out of jail, and Sabu pointedly states that Jiro is not invited. Jiro meanwhile is planning a big job - steal 40 million in cash and drugs, and he invites Sabu and gang to act as decoys, for 50,000 each. The sting is a success, but the double-crossing starts almost immediately. Sabu discovers how little of the take they were promised and hides the stash. Jiro and his slimy partner pressure the kids to fess up. Meanwhile, their respectable elder brother Ichiro is being leaned on by the town's big boss, whose money it was.

After injuring the head of Tanuma's family, and slaying others along the way, he then surrenders to the law and serves time. Before his last year to serve, the head of the Aramasa family falls ill and decides to retire, Ryoji miss chance to be successor, his old friend is reluctant but accepts. Now this gives the Tanuma family a chance for revenge! But with Tomisaburo Wakayama (Sekine) always having your back, how can you go wrong?

Seven characters, introduced at the start of the film, get thrown together into the same hotel room: a thief who's stolen a suitcase of money from the mob, his ex-girlfriend, her obsessive boyfriend, the mob soldier sent to retrieve the briefcase, another mobster sent to kill them, master voyeur Captain Banana and his new apprentice, The Mister Yellow. Who will end up with the money?

It is the Taisho era in Japan. A man has quit the Yakuza after five years and returned to Shikoku in order to begin his life anew as a ferryman. His boss, however, became ill and the boat is taken due to unpaid debts to the local thugs. His new life has not begun well and he is determined to rebuild the shattered business. The Yakuza, however, have added the ferry business to the rest of their portfolio of local concerns.

Two lone wolf yakuza (Hideki Takahashi and Kunie Tanaka) rob a gambling den, then split up when pursued by the angry gang. They eventually meet again at Tanaka's mother's rural farmhouse. By then, one-eyed Kobayashi has wrangled his way into the scenario, intending to get a split of the proceeds (since he had helped them get away). Although there is some dissension amongst the three, they eventually close ranks to fend off their stubborn, relentless pursuers. Unhappily, Tanaka’s mother (Chieko Naniwa) is killed in the process. There are also love interests (Yoshiko Machida and Kayo Matsuo) and some humor along the way. An admirably different approach to the formulaic ninkyo yakuza programmer, filmed largely in sweltering summer countryside locations.

Since the enactment of the Anti-Boryokudan Act and Yakuza exclusion ordinances, the number of Yakuza members reduced to less than 60,000. In the past 3 years, about 20,000 members have left from Yakuza organizations. However, just numbers can’t tell you the reality. What are they thinking, how are they living now? The camera zooms in on the Yakuza world. Are there basic human rights for them?

Himuro is arrested on suspicion of assault. Meanwhile, Tamura visits a certain hospital, where he is suddenly attacked by a man. After a fierce struggle, Tamura is arrested by police who rush to the scene. With the Kyowakai cornered and both Himuro and Tamura in jeopardy, the Yamazaki Ichimon splits up to continue their desperate search. Their efforts eventually lead them to Naomi (Saki Kiyoi), the daughter of Ito. As the investigation progresses, it becomes clear that the incident is tied to a gold smuggling operation. Just as the truth begins to surface, Naomi is kidnapped by the smugglers. The shocking mastermind behind the smuggling ring turns out to be an international spy organization. Can the Yamazaki Ichimon rescue Naomi—and clear both Himuro and Tamura of all charges?!

A barkeeper saves a Yakuza boss' life and thus makes his way up in the organization. However, his fear of nothing soon causes problems.

After serving time, a defiant street thug is incensed to find his town overrun by two yakuza factions. He gathers his crew and takes them on.

After serving his sentence, Yakuza family member Toshin-gumi Umebayashi is released from prison. Toshin-gumi was already headed by the boss in the second generation of Shotaro, but Shotaro fell into a trap, he is manipulated by his sworn enemy Kanzaki-gumi. Kanzaki-gumi captures the Toshin-gumi oil fields mined by the first boss. Umebayashi explodes in anger and attacks Kanzaki-gumi, but...

Teru (Yutaka Kyan) is abruptly summoned to the Himuro-gumi office, where a tense Himuro (Yasukaze Motomiya) and Tamura (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi) give him an unexpected task. A legendary Kyowakai yakuza known as “Hitokiri Jiro,” Fujita Jiro (Hajime Tsukumo), is being released on parole after 30 years, and Teru is to welcome him in their place. Expecting a fearsome figure, Teru instead meets a prison-worn old man who asks for work. Refusing Himuro’s offer to look after him within the organization, Jiro insists on living quietly as a civilian. He is sent to work at a kushiyaki restaurant, where his long absence from society quickly causes trouble. Meanwhile, Teru learns Jiro has family and sets out to find them, hoping to show them the man he has become.

Shimazu Clan's third-generation boss, Tetsuo Sakuragi (Yasukaze Motomiya), and his sworn brother, Kenichi Kanamori (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi), are set to be released from prison. Although Sakuragi plans to personally welcome his brother's return, Eitoshi Kaji (Hitoshi Ozawa) advises against it. Sakuragi dismisses Kaji's concerns, but Kaji reaches out to Tomomatsu Miwa (Naoki Hongo) of the Miwa Clan for support in convincing Sakuragi. On the day of Kanamori's release, it is Kaji, not Sakuragi, who comes to greet him. Witnessing this, Kanamori’s reaction is…

Yakuza Kojima appeared in Yokkaichi in search of her mother who died when she was young. There he met Torajiro, a master of kendo, who had just left prison after slashing his adoptive father who stole his son's wife. Torajiro was on his way to his brother-in-law, Iwai. While talking about themselves, they someday felt something similar to friendship.
