The Nature of Things: The Elephant

After the death of his friend Begbie, Palomar decides to go to the City, a bizarre and intimidating metropolis, whose citizens have abolished sleeping and the law of gravity. To get there, the man waits for a bus that never comes, falling into a restless and suffocating wait.

An imaginative elephant named Horton hears a faint cry for help coming from a tiny speck of dust floating through the air. Horton suspects there may be life on that speck and despite a surrounding community, who thinks he has lost his mind, he is determined to save the tiny particle.

This moving film demonstrates Lek’s natural understanding of and rapport with these huge animals and will stir the viewers emotions as it highlights the often desperate state some elephants are kept in.

A group of men are on safari. One of the party refuses to give a gift to a tribe they encounter. The tribe is offended, seizes the party, and one-by-one, kills all but one of the safari members in various creative and horrifying ways.
