The sofa, the fire, the silhouette. A home that disappears in ashes. After thirteen years of mental and physical confinement in that house, another confinement was necessary to face those images. Family photographs (90s-00s) and personal video archive footage filmed in 16mm and MiniDv between March and April 2019 during the move and the burning of the sofa, edited in quarantine, April 2020.

In the 60s and thanks to the epistolary exchange, the young filmmaker Manuel Antín and the famous writer Julio Cortázar devised four films. An ocean away, a fruitful collaboration and genuine friendship are born.

Gerald Hayo is a lesbian activist from Kenya. She is a survivor of one of the most cruel practices against LBQ women: corrective rape. This short documentary portrays her life as an activist in Mombasa, where she lives and works with her girlfriend Dee, and her return to Kisumu, her hometown, from where she had to flee after being disowned by her family. Nobody wants to see Gerald in Kisumu except her older sister, Cecilia.

The story of Yuhan, a Chinese expatriate who must leave her adopted home of Los Angeles to pursue her music dreams in Hamburg, Germany. As she prepares to depart, Yuhan reflects on the excitement and loneliness that opportunity can bring.

Inspired by the 1980s American soap opera, Santa Barbara, Svetlana became a mail-order bride from post-Soviet Russia to America. She took her two children with her to California to meet a stranger, a man who would soon become her husband and father to her children. The film brings together the audition process, behind- the-scenes footage, archival home movies, scripted scenes, and an interview with the director's mother, Svetlana. This project is an immersive form of visual storytelling that employs memory and performance in equal measure to show the journey of immigrating to America.
