A Danish family travels to Brazil to say goodbye to their mother, who passed away six years ago. But things don't quite go according to plan. Can the father and the two adult sisters reach each other and talk about loss, life and death?

I traveled to South Africa to find a white family living on a desolate farm. I wanted to film how they faced the new days of equality after the fall of Apartheid. But I soon lost my way both on the endless roads and in my way. Instead, the film became a story about two very different women who both experienced a tragic loss in the midst of a white community not too fond of the future.

Stefan Nilsson chose to end his life on May 25, 2023, just months after being diagnosed with ALS. This follow-up documentary by Tom Alandh brings to the surface the issues revolving euthanasia when there seems to be nothing left to do.

Families from across the U.S. discuss how they cope with loss and address common misconceptions about grief. Through candid personal stories and conversations with experts in the grief field, the film also presents ideas for how family and friends can better support each other through loss.

April 10, 2010 went down in the memory of Poles as a day of national drama. But for the characters in the film, it was the day of their greatest personal drama. Along with the presidential couple, their loved ones passed away in shocking circumstances. For most, the time passing since the Smolensk catastrophe does not bring relief. Ewa Ewart and her film crew accompany the families at various stages of their struggle with difficult emotions. The film is in the process of being made and will include sequences and stills that have not been used anywhere before.
