French Wedding, Caribbean Style

As the romantic monsoon rains loom, the extended Verma family reunites from around the globe for a last-minute arranged marriage in New Delhi. This film traces five intersecting stories, each navigating different aspects of love as they cross boundaries of class, continent and morality.

This short film tells the story of a former university professor diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. The protagonist wakes up at dawn and begins the morning routine he used to follow during his time as a professor. Later, his wife and son discover him and try to bring him back to present time. In that early morning, the past and the present coexist. Revisiting these wounds, leads the Rivera Dávila family to accept the past, assume the present and heal those diseases that do not concern memory, but the heart.

Sean McAllister is a successful fashion designer who hasn't seen his family in years. He returns to his hometown for a painstaking family reunion that will take him back to his past only to rebuild his future.

Li Jie, a lawyer, is taking divorce proceedings to try to get custody of her daughter. As she is working hard to earn a better life for her daughter, she hires a baby sitter, Sun Fang, to watch her child. One day, Li comes home only to find her child and Sun have disappeared. Unfortunately, Li is suspected by both her family and the police, and must lean on herself to trace Sun alone.

After a particularly embarrassing performance, a struggling Polish actor chooses to quit his acting troupe. In desperation, he returns home, only to find his dying mother has replaced him with a farm hand from a nearby mental institution. Alienated and depressed, he attempts to find his place in the world by driving out his replacement as completely as possible.

Amal Taheri is the youngest daughter of a broken family. Seven years ago, Amal witnessed a domestic disturbance causing the imprisonment of her brother, Mo, and the abandonment of her father, Borna. Now, after his parole, Amal and her anxious mother, Raniya, attempt to welcome Mo back home. However, during Mo’s homecoming dinner, demons between each of the Taheri’s suddenly resurface. With tensions riding high, Amal must bridge the insurmountable gaps between her family members, all while wrestling with a secret that could shatter her familial bonds, forever.

The Curtain

Kobi, a 16-year-old, is forced under his mother’s instructions to solely take care of his grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s. Rather, they live in a southern Israeli town, bordering the Gaza strip, which is constantly being bombarded. The tension, anxiety and the heavy responsibility, that have suddenly been imposed on him change, throughout the day, his demeaning and harsh attitude towards his mother, who works in as a cleaning lady, to earn their living.

Hari (Ram), a DJ in Vizag, proposes to many girls none of them accept his love. One day he sees a beautiful girl Sailaja (Keerthi Suresh) and also impresses her but doesn't propose to her fearing that he would be rejected. Hari spends some good times with Sailaja and right when he proposes his love, she rejects him point blank. An upset Ravi continues with his life and as time passes by, he gets a huge clue which could help him getting back his love.
