In a rut and desperate for the passion they once had, Emma does her best to coach Kevin through an incredibly awkward dinner party with three friends they've lost touch with.

Montreal, December 31, 1933. Inside the storefront window of the grand Ogilvy store, a young worker watches passersby with envy. Tonight, she has nowhere to go. As she lays down, at the sound of the windy night, she thinks about the arrival of a new year, and about her new life that is about to begin.
