Since childhood, Song Jiale has dreamed of becoming a girl and aligning her body with her identity. Leaving her village at 14, she worked in cities but couldn’t escape her gender dysphoria. For three years, she traveled between Shanghai and home, gathering documents and seeking her family’s acceptance for surgery. Rejected by her father and relatives, she decided to proceed on her own. In the hospital, she found solidarity among other transgender people, sharing care and hope through their transformations. But upon returning home, she faced rejection and hostility, leaving her to confront new uncertainties about her future.

Jongmyo Daeje is a ritual rite performed at the Jongmyo Shrine in Seoul, South Korea. Its purpose is to honor the spirits of the kings and queens of Korea from past times. The origins of the ritual date back to the 15th century, the heyday of the great Joseon Dynasty, which ruled Korea from 1392 to 1910. The ritual is held on the first Sunday of May each year, accompanied by national music and dance. In 2001, the ritual itself and the music performed during it were included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. A recording of a performance by musicians and dancers from Seoul's National Gugak Center at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris in 2015 as part of the Franco-Korean Friendship Year. The ritual is being performed outside of Korea for the first time. About 100 performers, dancers, singers and musicians are present on stage.

Recognized and respected SFX maestro, he has also directed two full-length films which left their mark on sci-fi cinema: "Silent Running" and "Brainstorm". Today, at over 70, Trumbull-the-pioneer continues his quest for innovation and still dreams of a cinema which places spectators into the film. "Trumbull Land" is an immersive portrait of Douglas Trumbull in his studios and a diving headfirst in his cinema.
