One or two good moments, otherwise 'The Festival' isn't all that entertaining unfortunately. There is noticeable vibes of 'The Inbetweeners' with this, which isn't a surprise given a number of overlaps here - from Joe Thomas to Hannah Tointon to director Iain Morris. I think the aforementioned show is terrific, but this film doesn't hit anything close to the same heights... despite similar attempted humour. Thomas is alright in the lead role, while Hammed Animashaun and Claudia O'Doherty do try. The better moments that I alluded to earlier are when Noel Fielding and Nick Frost appear. The other cast members are meh. The humour isn't to my liking. I'm all for crude comedy but not when it's central to the whole film, there are a couple of cringey bits. I can't say I laughed aloud with any of it, which is a shame as I felt they were trying.
