In a Azerbaijan, in the beginning of this century, the first films made in the history of cinema are shown.The characters meet each other in a room. Three characters who will witness the linking up of their destinies through their common love for this new captivating art.

The story is set during an upsurge in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and revolves around an old, sick ex-forestry worker and his wife Nabat, whose son has died in battle.

Dedicated to the development of the oil industry of Soviet Azerbaijan in the background of the first half of the twentieth century, including their selfless work in strengthening the economic and military might of the USSR.

The film is about the Soviet People's patriotism and friendship.

Novruzali brings a gift from the village to the Khan as usual. The Khan writes a letter to his friend living in Yerevan, promising to come there with his wife and to tidy and heat the house where they will stay. He sends Novruzali to the post office to put the letter in the mailbox. And instructs him not to give it to anyone. Novruzali, who does not know what mail is, puts a letter in the mailbox for the first time in his life. Not knowing the rules, he waits near the mailbox. When the postal worker takes the letters from the mailbox, Novruzali thinks he is a thief and confronts him.

This film was based on Samad Vurgun's "Komsomol poem". Seven sons, like seven samurai become the seven komsomols (communist leaders) who were sent to a village to establish Soviet power. Seven sons become the romanticized images of people's heroes ready to take revenge.

Young Ruslan rows for a team coached by his father Ali, who places many demands upon his son and is continually dissatisfied by his performance. But when tragedy strikes, his father is overcome with emotions he doesn’t know how to deal with. Debut director Asif Rustamov treats the heavy topic with remarkable subtlety and discretion, emphasizing the characters’ carefully elaborated psychology.

The film reveals the contradictions between the "educating" teachers and the "educated" students in the school, which is actually an orphanage and a boarding school, where lawlessness, violence, hypocrisy, and cruelty prevail. Forced to live in such contradictory conditions, but unable to adapt to these conditions, little Ahsan, who misses his native home, finds the only way out - he perishes by throwing himself out of the window. The film was shot on the basis of the motifs of Isi Malikzade's story "Nowruz Holiday of Wanderers".

This lyrical psychological film is about true friendship. The characters in the film are contemporaries in of late 1970s Azerbaijan SSR with differing visions of the world, yet sharing true and lasting friendship.

Young border guard Sergeant Farrukh is in love with Izran, a girl from a neighboring village. The violator tells him about his life, and the sergeant recognizes him as his father, whom he believed had died at the front...

A historical film about the struggle in the 18th century of the young ruler of the Kuban Khanate, Fatali Khan, who sought to unite the scattered khanates into a single Azerbaijani state.

A young lawyer named Vakil Ahmed earned the nickname "The Oddball" for his honest and truthful words, as well as the purity of his soul. Many people in society give and receive bribes, including Vakil Ahmed, which causes him to lose his faith. Thanks to the worker Salim, Vakil Ahmed is released from prison.

After the novel of the same name of Yusif Samadoghlu. The film is about three intervals in time: the distant past, yesterday and today, about innocent victims, about repression, and conquest of different countries.

About a young engineer's struggle for new, scientifically proven methods of working in drilling mines. His main opponent is a drilling foreman who prefers to be guided by his "sixth sense" in his work. In the end, engineer Geydar wins a double victory: he proves the superiority of new drilling methods over traditional ones and wins the heart of the old foreman's daughter. The film is considered banned.
