The Weary Poet

In the beginning of times, humans and demons existed side by side in peace. Thousands of years later, the master of Youli clan violently launched a war to expel mankind. After hardships, the strange men and strangers expelled them to the depths of the earth and suppressed them with the Qianyuan Immortal Formation. The former head of the Ping You Division, Yi Shui Han, guides the half-human, half-Yuli to gather the Five Noble Ones to reorganize the division. After the human skin case, the emperor also ordered to reopen the Department of Peace and Harmony to find out the truth.

The drama tells the story of two Kunlun disciples, Ling Feng and Bai Ze, who, before the founding of the Zu Mountain Sect, made different choices and grew up in opposition to each other, one good and one evil.

China, year 1457. The Minister of Defense is executed, and his children are sentenced to exile by order of the tyrannical Tsao. Fearful of future revenge from the young people, Tsao sends cruel soldiers to murder them, but a brave group of swordsmen can change the course of the battle at the Dragon Inn.

Lo Lieh stars as Sima Jun, a killer working for a corrupt lord whose orders are followed without question or hesitation. When the lord suffers from a life-threatening boil on his back, he is told by the Imperial doctor that an herb called "Longevity Rattan" offers the only cure and is grown in a remote village by an herbalist named Tan. Lo is sent on a mission to get the herb and bring it back before it's too late.

Director Ho Meng-hua is one of Shaw Studio's most versatile directors. He's helmed romances, mysteries, award-winning dramas, contemporary action films, historical costume dramas, fantasies, and, finally, popular swordplay movies. The title character in this one is a chivalrous thief who raises the jealous ire of the rival Red Shirt Gang. There's plenty of action in this adventure, which sweeps from the plains to the mountains ... to the sound of slashing swords.

Lawman Gong Tianlong captures vicious thief and murderer Guan Yunfei but an ambush by hired men sees the thief set free and Tianlong's whole family murdered. Left to die himself but rescued by Ling Tzu, Yunfei's son frames Tianlong's and throws him away to rot in jail. All while Yunfei betrays an accomplice of his but ends up blind in the ensuing fight. Cut to 15 years later with Tianlong desiring revenge, Yunfei has developed into a skilled, blind swordsman and into the two's rivalry enters innocent family...

Doctor and whip-wielding Hero Chai Tin-sum travels to an isolated village where he finds the population dying of the plague while being oppressed by the Ku family and their fortress. The family has cutoff the supply of fresh water to the village causing calamity. Chai must find a way to defeat the Ku family and restore water or the village will die.
