Brooks, a publisher and his publicist decide to boost the sales of a wartime book of flying experiences. They credit the book to popular author Robert Street, who is completely ignorant about aviation. Robert gets into all sorts of trouble in attempting to carry on the ruse, saving his friend's business but also attracting the attention of aviation-mad Grace Douglas. At first, he is able to carry out simple publicity events, but when he accidentally starts up an aircraft, his incredible aerobatics end with a landing in a haystack. When a race is staged between him and French ace Major Jules Gaillard, it ends with Robert confessing he is no pilot, but still winning Grace's heart. Considered a lost film.

Disowned son of a millionaire, Paul Bunyon and his pal, Philo Brown, get jobs (under assumed names) in a lumber yard owned by Paul’s father. Paul falls in love with Patricia Jennings, the manager's daughter. Philo, boasting that Paul is fighter "Mile a Minute Morgan," get him a match with a professional. Paul intends to skip out, but Patricia persuades him to stay. When Kenneth Winster steals the purse money and abducts Patricia, Paul knocks out his opponent, chases Winster, recovers the money, saves Patricia, and wins his father's respect.

Teddy's accusation of Jones's cowardice does not bother him until he falls in love with Nedra, who shuns him, believing Teddy's rumor. When Mr. Joseph is kidnapped and Jones saves him Nedra learns the truth and agrees to marry him.

To her surprise and delight, Nora discovers that the incriminating picture is her own photograph and that Richard is already her husband.

A speech by Walton causes Pierce to become angry and it looks like a fight is going to ensue. A musician (Brooke Johns) is heard singing "That Old Gang of Mine" and it brings back childhood memories . Harmony is restores and the past combatants join together for a united front against the opposition party.
