Takarazuka Snow Troupe production based on the manga by Ikeda Riyoko

To mark the fiftieth anniversary of its premiere, it will return to the stage of the Takarazuka Grand Theater in 2024 for the first time in ten years. This story, a foundational work of shojo manga that continues to be loved by many people across ages and borders, is set in France during the raging revolution, depicting the forbidden love of two couples. The Takarazuka Revue has staged various versions of The Rose of Versailles over the years. In this version that focuses on Fersen, we present the splendid world of The Rose of Versailles in a glorious celebration of its fiftieth anniversary.

The franchise centers on "Starlight," a dance and dance troupe beloved the world over. Karen and Hikari promised each other when they were little that one day they would perform together on that stage. Time passes and now they are both 16 years old. Musical by the Takarazuka Revue. In modern day France, an exhibition is being held at the Palace of Versailles of the "Necklace of Marie Antoinette". The necklace had been used in a fraud case that marked a chapter in French history and later went missing. It has been reproduced using real diamonds. Fujiko has sneaked into Versailles, as has the gang of Lupin, Goemon, and Jigen - all with the intention of getting their hands on the necklace, which is valued at over 3 billion yen in today's money. But they bump into Inspector Zenigata. Lupin is the one who manages to foil Zenigata and grab the necklace. Yet the instant he lays hands on it, everyone is enveloped in a mysterious light. When they regain consciousness, they notice they have gone through a time slip to 1785, before the French Revolution when Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were around.

In the world of the Warring States, where rival warlords vied to take over all of Japan, a uniquely ingenious strategist made a name for himself: Takenaka Shigeharu (nicknamed Hanbei). Hanbei’s former opponent, Oda Nobunaga, recognized his genius. When Kinoshita Tokichiro (later Toyotomi Hideyoshi) visited under Oda’s orders, Hanbei realized that he had the potential to dominate Japan—he then became his vassal and led Hideyoshi to victory in many battles. This original ‘Warring States Musical’ seeks to show Hanbei’s true character—his shy and loyal nature, as despite his military exploits he didn’t care about making himself famous or wealthy; his marital love with Seishitsu Ine (Tokugetsu-In) who had longed for and supported him since their childhood; as well as his deep bond with his fellow strategist under Hideyoshi, Kuroda Kanbei.

In 1770, Princess Marie-Antoinette of the House of Hapsburg, youngest daughter of Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, marries at the age of fourteen, Prince Louis (future Louis XVI) of the House of Bourbon, eldest grandson of King Louis XV of France. In anxiety over some childishness still lingering in Marie-Antoinette, Empress Maria Theresa sends over to France her confidant, Count of Mercy-Argenteau, on the mission to tutor Marie-Antoinette to grow up to be a beloved queen of the French people.

Eitoku Academy is a high school that caters to rich, high-society families. Among the students who attend there are four young men who have the adulation of the entire school, the "Flower 4" (F4). There is spoiled Doumyouji Tsukasa, cool and mysterious Hanazawa Rui, playboy Nishikado Soujirou, and "madam killer" Mimasaka Akira. If these four show any signs of disliking someone, a red tag is put on the locker of that student and they become a target of bullying for the entire school. Makino Tsukushi is from a middle-class family, attending because her parents asked her to. Her goal is to keep her head down until she can graduate, but her plans are soon made impossible as she is thrown into the world of the F4. Doumyouji falls for Tsukushi for her fierce independence and willingness to stand up to him, but Tsukushi likes the quiet Hanazawa Rui....

The musical begins mid-way through the trial of Dmitri Karamazov (Mizu Natsuki) for the murder of his father Fyodor (Mirai Yuuki). Dmitri maintains his innocence, and we are then taken back in time to see how things reached the point they are at now.

A dramatization of the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart beginning from the age of 17 culminating with his death in 1791 at the age of 35. It uses both original pop-rock compositions as well as pre-existing music composed by Mozart and other composers, including Antonio Salieri. Based on the French musical "Mozart, l'opéra rock" first performed in 2009.
