Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Adrian Țofei

Biography

Adrian Țofei (pronounced Tsofei) is an acclaimed filmmaker and actor best known for his debut horror feature Be My Cat: A Film for Anne and his upcoming apocalyptic feature We Put the World to Sleep. IndieWire called Be My Cat: A Film for Anne “a hidden gem, a nonstop nightmare, a chilling character study and a dazzling debut”, Blumhouse said it’s a “new intelligent found footage film you need to see”, and Dread Central named it “revolutionary and dangerous”. Adrian won Best Actor at Nashville Film Festival for his performance in Be My Cat, as well as Best Film at A Night of Horror in Sydney. He directed, produced, wrote and starred in the movie, which premiered in 2015 at Fantasporto, traveled the festival circuit and received critical acclaim (currently 88% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes), being ultimately released by Terror Films in 2018, and has since attracted a cult following. Adrian Țofei has been married to actress Duru Yücel since 2017, and they have also become partners onscreen in their upcoming feature We Put the World to Sleep, an international coproduction 7 years in the making and their most ambitious project to date.

Scorch

Biography

Scorch is a former actor, professional wrestler, talk show host, radio show host, and DJ from the Syracuse and Manchester areas. He's best known for his talk show Scorch's PFG-TV and his interactions and connections with multiple celebrities and artists. Throughout his acting career, Scorch played purely villains, mean characters, and tough guys in low-budget shows, shorts, and feature-length films. He starred in a handful of Hollywood productions and music videos such as Suicide Squad, Lindsey Stirling: The Arena, Sandy Wexley, Katy Perry & Nicki Minaj: Swish Swish, Savage Dog, and American Nightmares as background extras, concertgoers, fans, and prisoners. Scorch's first professional wrestling gimmick was a timid rabbi type guy named "Yasha Stein." During his career, he went by the name "Vito Carlucci," as his heel manager gimmick. He was trained by Killer Kowalski and worked with the likes of King Kong Bundy, Triple H, The Road Dogg, and many more. Shortly after getting signed by the WWF, he shattered his kneecap, losing his contract two weeks before his debut on television. Over the years, Scorch has run into controversies surrounding his talk show, believed by many to be a scam for advertisers by lying about its popularity and numbers. His co-hosts, including the likes of Michael Boris and Sib Hashian, a famous drummer and father of Dwayne Johnson's wife, was reportedly denied the money and weekly paychecks Scorch promised them. As of 2019, Scorch has taken a break from acting and other career paths, but publicly says he has interest in pursuing it once more in the future. To date, he still does different iterations of Scorch's PFG-TV and morning podcasts to his website and Facebook.

Alisa Lova

Biography

Alisa Lova, born Alisa Ibragimova, came to the United States with her family from Russia when she was six years old. Her mother was a concert pianist and cellist back in Russia. Alisa moved to New York with her family, where she grew up and still resides. She started acting when she was 14 years old. Her first showcase was on stage at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she took her first acting classes. Alisa worked on her craft all through college. She studied Meisner and Stanislavski at Brooklyn College, where she double majored in Theatre and Psychology and got her Bachelors Degree. Her first film was "Lost In The Woods" (2011 short), where she played the lead character Erika. Other lead roles that followed were, Jenny in "Zombie Or Not Zombie", (2011 horror short), Reagan in "The Assault" (2011 thriller short), and Jane in "Love Never Dies" (2011 short). 2011 was a blooming year for Alisa, as she kept booking more and more roles in film. Next she booked a role in "Her Perfect Peace", (2011 short), where she played a character named Claire, a supporting role. Following "Kim Jong Kill" (2011 short), where she played Summer, another supporting role. At that time, she also booked her first featured role on an episode of the TV show, "Scorned: Love Kills" (episode, Never Enough), on Discovery ID channel. In 2012, Alisa booked a role in her first feature film, "Supernaturalz", where she played Maris, a carjack victim. Next came "Killer Dinner Party" (2012 short), where she played Tiffany Banks, a high society woman. Then "Love And Deception" (2012), where she played Lola Stokes, a comedic character. The director thought she was so funny playing the character of Lola that he wrote and directed a short film based on that character for Alisa, which he titled "Lola". Next came "Hibbing" (short), where she played a Russian secret double agent, a supporting role. This film made it to the Big Apple Film Festival of 2013. Her most powerful performance was in an off-Broadway play called "Visions", which is an original play about addiction and recovery, where she played Maria. The play started in treatment centers to reach out to people in recovery. It made its way to the World Convention Center, in Philadelphia, in August 2013. Then it made its way off Broadway, to the stage of NYC Hudson Guild Theatre. When she's not acting, Alisa enjoys watching horror movies, playing pool, going bowling, and playing chess with friends. She also loves traveling to exotic places. She's been to the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Cancun, and Jamaica. Alisa is grateful to have the opportunity to travel and do what she loves.

Hideaki Anno (born May 22, 1960 in Ube, Yamaguchi) is a Japanese animation and film director. Anno is best known for his work on the popular anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. His style has come to be defined by the touches of superflatism and postmodernism that he injects into his work, as well as the thorough portrayal of characters' thoughts and emotions, often through unconventional sequences incorporating psychoanalysis and emotional deconstruction of these characters. He married comics artist Moyoco Anno in 27 April 2002. Anime directed by Anno that have won the Animage Anime Grand Prix award have been Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water in 1990, Neon Genesis Evangelion in 1995 and 1996, and The End of Evangelion in 1997. Merve Dizdar (born 25 June 1986) is a Turkish actress. She was born in Izmir, Turkey. She is a graduate of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University School of Fine Arts with a degree in acting. She received her master's degree in acting from Kadir Has University. She started her career on stage by joining Semaver Company and continued it at Craft Theatre. Dizdar made her cinematic debut with Bir Ses Böler Geceyi (2011) alongside Cem Davran and pursued a career in television with recurring roles in the series Kavak Yelleri, Genis Aile, Bir Yastikta, Doksanlar, Cilgin Dershane Üniversite, and was first noted with her role in Bes Kardes. She also worked for TRT Children, presenting the programs Arkadasim Bidi and 23 Nisan Senlige Dogru. Dizdar won the Afife Jale Theatre Best Actress Award for her role in the play Yutmak. She then joined the cast of hit series 7 Yüz, Vatanim Sensin, and Mucize Doktor respectively. In 2020, she had a leading role with Uraz Kaygilaroglu in the Gupse Özay's comedy film Eltilerin Savasi, which as of April 2021 is the 22nd most-watched movie of all time in Turkey according to Box Office Türkiye. She shared the leading role with Serenay Sarikaya, Ezgi Mola, Enis Arikan, Sükrü Ozyildiz in a musical adaptation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. In 2020, she started to play in the series Masumlar Apartmani and won Golden Butterfly Awards Best Actress. She played an actress and her many roles in Cem Yilmaz's Netflix spin off comedy series Ersan Kuneri. In 2022 she starred in Selcen Ergun's Kay ve Ayi/Snow and Bear. In 2023, she starred in Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Kuru Otlar Ustüne /About Dry Grasses , for which she become first Turkish actress at the 76th Cannes Film Festival by winning the Best Actress award for her portrayal of a teacher.

Moss Hart

Biography

Moss Hart was an American playwright and theatre director. Early on he had a strong relationship with his Aunt Kate, with whom he later lost contact due to a falling out between her and his parents, and Kate's weakening mental state. She piqued his interest in the theater and took him to see performances often. Hart even went so far as to create an "alternate ending" to her life in his book Act One. He writes that she died while he was working on out-of-town tryouts for The Beloved Bandit. Later, Kate became eccentric and then disturbed, vandalizing Hart's home, writing threatening letters and setting fires backstage during rehearsals for Jubilee. But his relationship with her was formative. He learned that the theater made possible "the art of being somebody else … not a scrawny boy with bad teeth, a funny name … and a mother who was a distant drudge.

Markus Knüfken

Biography

Markus Knüfken wuchs in Essen auf. Knüfken machte 1985 in Essen-Kettwig sein Abitur und zog dann nach München, um seinen Zivildienst anzutreten. 1987 arbeitete er für sechs Monate im Paketpostamt München, um sich eine halbjährige Reise nach Australien zu finanzieren. Im April 1988 kam er aus Australien zurück. Er machte den Taxischein und arbeitete als Dauerstatist bei der Bavaria Film für die ARD Reihe Rote Erde. Im Sommer 1990 begann er seine Ausbildung als Schauspieler bei der Schauspielschule Schauspiel München. Nach drei Jahren schloss er die Ausbildung ab. Sein Anfänger-Engagement hatte er im Februar 1994 beim Stadttheater Herford. Zuvor drehte er jedoch bereits seine ersten Fernsehproduktionen. Seine erste große Rolle spielt Knüfken im November/Dezember 1993 als rechtsradikaler Skinhead in der Polizeiruf-110-Folge Samstags wenn Krieg ist unter der Regie von Roland Suso Richter. Es folgten Hauptrollen in Krimi-Reihen wie Tatort und Notruf Hafenkante. Im Jahr 1995 etablierte sich Markus Knüfken mit der Hauptrolle des Eddie Velten in der Serie Auf Achse. Seitdem hat er in vielen Fernsehfilmen, Serien aber auch Kinoproduktionen mitgespielt. Als seine persönlichen Lieblingsprojekte nennt Knüfken Bang Boom Bang und Doppelpack. Weitere bekannte Produktionen, an denen Knüfken mitwirkte, waren unter anderem Das merkwürdige Verhalten geschlechtsreifer Großstädter zur Paarungszeit und Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door. Markus Knüfken war mit der niederländischen Schauspielerin Ellen ten Damme verheiratet. Er lebt seit 2003 in Hamburg und ist mit Andrea Lion verheiratet, mit der er ein Kind und eine Stieftochter hat.
