Green Day: 20 Years of American Idiot

After fifteen years of unconventionally kinetic stage antics (sometimes involving fire breathing, on-stage raffles, and a guy named "Dirty" who was essentially the band's resident cheerleader), the band gave their bittersweet farewell performance for an army of costume-clad fans - some of which even flew in from other countries - on their favorite day of the year to perform, Halloween. And here you have it, the band's final live performance from San Diego's Westin Hotel Ballroom, marking the end of an era and the affirmation of their cemented presence in the slightly emptier world of rock n' roll. Filmed Oct. 31st 2005 in San Diego, CA.

Features the band Cherry Pit performing the second half of their song "I AM NOT A PERSON", set against unlicensed footage from other trans filmmakers, including the likes of Lex Walton, Louise Weard, Cate Wurtz, Jane Schoenbrun and Lily Alexandre.

'It was in San Francisco at a punk festival. I was already high and the air was so thick in the rooms that you could cut it with a knife. I had a photograph camera with me; I stood in a corner of the entrance hall and took 36 pictures on slide film. At home I put the slides into a slide projector. I took out the lens and filmed the slides by filming directly from the projector - using single frames according to a certain plan.'

At 18, they leave the boring british countryside to live and work on their music in London. Jim starts working in a Cultural association while Loz discovers the pleasures of the student life. The film is driven by the raw punk music and the deeply political and emotional lyrics from their two piece band Cassels. In this intimate portrait, Jim and Loz will confront their strong artistic point of view and their DIY approach to the reality of the music industry and the social and economical London's life.

But his and "The Clash's" memory live on in the programme as it seeks to explore and identify the music and the reasons behind the split of one of the most iconic punk rock groups of the day. We follow the life of one of the original members of "The Clash". Told through interviews of Joe's involvement in the ground breaking group from other band members including Mick Jones and 'Topper' Headon, we tell the story as it was.

Featuring interviews with members of the band (past and present), road crew, producers, family, friends and fans, My Life is Great covers the entirety of their storied career. Complete with live footage from the last three decades, this film is a document of a band that never got a break, never gave a damn, and never sold out.

Director Drew Stone’s The New York Hardcore Chronicles Film is an incredible journey through the community and culture of the iconic New York hardcore scene. Not the typical history of a local music scene but so much more. Shot in an episodic format, the film contains over 60 interviews, never before seen footage, photos and a blazing soundtrack. With appearances by Roger Miret & Vinnie Stigma (Agnostic Front), Lou Koller, Craig Setari (Sick Of It All), Ray Cappo (Youth Of Today), Billy Graziadei (Biohazard), Billy Milano (S.O.D. / M.O.D.) and Mike Judge (Judge). The film addresses the community, culture, straight edge and DIY ethic of the hardcore scene in the greatest city in the world that is still vibrant, relevant and going strong to this day.

Inspired by Steven Blush's book "American Hardcore: A tribal history" Paul Rachman's feature documentary debut is a chronicle of the underground hardcore punk years from 1979 to 1986. Interviews and rare live footage from artists such as Black Flag, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, SS Decontrol and the Dead Kennedys.

A rather incoherent post-breakup Sex Pistols "documentary", told from the point of view of Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren, whose (arguable) position is that the Sex Pistols in particular and punk rock in general were an elaborate scam perpetrated by him in order to make "a million pounds."

Minor Threat played one of its last shows at Washington DC's 930 Club in June of 1983; they would only play once more in DC. Two years later, the tapes from the 930 show were edited together and Dischord Records released them as the Minor Threat Live VHS video in 1986. Along with the 40 minute 930 performance, the DVD includes a 1982 Minor Threat show in Camden, NJ, a clip of Minor Threat's 2nd ever show at DC Space in December 1980, and excerpts from a 1983 interview with vocalist, Ian MacKaye.

Washington, D.C.'s Government Issue perform live in this two-concert DVD. Filmed during a 1985 tour of California, both shows highlight songs from the albums "Joy Ride" and "The Fun Just Never Ends." Lead singer John Stabb belts out tunes including "Puppet on a String," "4-Wall Hermit," "World Caved In," "Hear the Scream," "Blending In" and "Mad at Myself," igniting audiences at both venues into full-blown Punk Rock frenzy.

Considered one of the most cerebral punk rock bands around, Bad Religion puts on a unique live show that has them blasting through song after song in record time. This documentary, compiling footage from 14 different concerts, captures the raw power and frenzy of the band as they toured Europe in 1989 to promote their third album, "Suffer." The 26 featured songs include "Do What You Want," "Land of Competition," "Best for You" and more.
