In the summer of 2011 twenty Peace Corps Volunteers returned to Sierra Leone, West Africa. For most of them, it was the first time returning to the country since they had served in the 1960’s and 1970’s. They came to reconnect with their friends in Sierra Leone. It was an auspicious time for their trip. The nation was celebrating its fiftieth anniversary of independence from Great Britain. The year also marked the fiftieth anniversary of the Peace Corp's arrival in Sierra Leone.

In the summer of 1966 a group of 65 idealistic Peace Corps volunteers headed for Africa and landed in the dusty, heat-scorched desert of Niger. They stayed for two years working in agriculture, digging wells and starting health clinics for women and their babies. In 2008 five of them returned to Niger to revisit the country, see old friends, and witness how their work has improved the lives of Nigeriens. And create a documentary of their experiences.

Ebun Sodipo’s film And the Seas Bring Forth New Lands brings together archival footage and a performance of original text to grapple with the interconnected precarity and joys of Black life. Footage combines clips from popular films, news broadcasts, social media platforms such as Vine, and fashion shows. Sodipo’s film reckons with the demands placed on Black existence while speculating on other ways of being adjacent to these violences. The soundscape knits together music from artists such as Blood Orange and Solange, along with Sodipo’s performed text.

She became one of America's top ten glamour photographers during the 50's and 60's. This pictorial shows 100 of her most glamorous models, featuring Bettie Page, and includes photographs and original footage of Bunny with the girls behind the scenes.

The availability of housing is a big topic today. It has the strongest impact on those who participate least in the public debate – low-income households, minorities or single women. The film follows a group of activists around Martin Freund, a representative and member of the Live Brno movement, as they try to persuade politicians in the second largest Czech city about their vision of affordable housing.

Because his articles directly exposed stock market corruption and local government brutality to the public, people threatened to pay 500,000 yuan for his head. This attracted the attention of Premier Zhu Rongji. Wang was instructed to employ protection. This film documents Wang Keqin's interview experience in Min County, Gansu Province. Wang Keqin once wrote reports about officials oppressing the people there, which received widespread attention, so the cadres were brought to justice. The general public increased their legal awareness as a result of this incident, which also resulted in challenges to township governance. In the days that followed, the farmers who defended their rights continued to experience retaliation from the village cadres, and they kept calling Wang Keqin about their experiences.
